At least Lake Erie doesn't catch fire anymore. The walleye fishing is pretty good still, I think.

The Bush family bought one of the largest Aquifers in the world in Paraguay. So you can bet water will play a role in taking power.

Saudi Arabia has spent billions on desalination plants and so should we if water is becoming that scarce of a resource. If we create enough water where its no longer a scarce resource than we don't have to worry about the corporate world creating a monopoly on it.

This would work for Saudi Arabia but not America. The size of the countries as well as population will be a key factor.

America
Total Population 316,668,576
Total Area in Square Miles 3,794,101 sq. mi.
Saudi Arabia
Total Population 31,225,300
Total Area in Square Miles 830,000 sq. mi.

We have far too much land to water and thirsty people to make enough.

Very good reminder Buster, star for that.

I just wonder what their bottled water will be called, "Bush Clear" to sound like "Bush Beer"? The heck with it, I'm giving up the water and just drinking the beer. I going to need to be on a continuous binder to handle all this new crap that just keeps floating downstream. We're up "stool's" creek without a paddle, but who cares, it's been pumped dry for drinking water.

Their was a post on ATS about some one in US being told they CAN NOT collect water from the rain!

you will get this a lot in the future.
so wee All need to make it a right that we Can collect water on are own land.
even rented land.

what has happen in the past US.
some one would buy the land up stream.
and then made a dame. then buy the land cheap!

in the future they will make you Pay to have the water run from their land to yours.
Laws need to be made NOW to stop this.

Air and sun will be next

Thought I would add Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy Theory episode about water privatization in the US.

Well worth a watch, Nestle, T. Boone Pickens and the water barons.
