Reciting mantra leaves no room for erroneous thoughts.

Purifying all the way,
The rootless cancerous tumor shall disperse naturally.

At that time, the Buddha spoke to Ananda, “Listen to this Cancer-Healing Sutra. Read it, memorize it, recite it and propagate it far and wide. There will be a healing of cancers, including those caused by wind, heat, and yin elements, combinations of these three elements, and healing of cancers found in blood, abdomen, nose, teeth, tongue, eyes, ears, head, limbs, spine, rectum, and joints. All these cancers will dry up, fall off, and be eradicated. Healing will occur undoubtedly. Thus, read and uphold this spiritual mantra. This is the mantra:

Are you stating as fact that this is 100% effective?

So someone on ATS is diagnosed with cancer and forgoes all medical treatment and follows your advice, are you going to take responsibility for their outcome?

you're getting apparently all "rational", but in fact, you're simply jumping all over this by making unreasonable and unwise assumptions.

I never said that, but somehow you're assuming I did.

yes, I'm saying for a fact, mantra 100% works. the extent to which it works is dependent on many internal factors, such as concentration and the time one spends with a mantra.

but that's what mantra is, inner, mental, spiritual practice.

you can have your traditional cancer "cures" (if you want to play the chemo game), many alternative therapies proven to work, and then here's an internal, spiritual practice, given by a Buddha.

you're just like the medical profesionals who hear about alternative cures and go - oh, are you willing to stake your life on THAT?

but you're being more simplistic about it, and, of course, spiritual practice is even more of a jump than alternative medicine.

so good luck with your being unreasonable.

If the person really has a strong belief in this working then it will work, the mind is truely a powerful weapon against all disease.
