I just love how Fox news gets lambasted for Being "different". Yet every other Network station follows the "Obama Agenda" and gets a free pass.

Fox is the most watched news out there because they will cover stories like benghazi, while all the other networks talk about Mrs. Obama's dress, or what Mr. Obama had for lunch. And It's the ONLY network asking the "TOUGH" questions.

Let's just say the know the more far leaning Right's trigger...

I really hope your message does not fall on deaf ears. I am so tired of this derision by both sides! As soon as I saw it I laughed NOT because it was humorous (it wasn't actually at all...) but that I could see clearly what was going on...

Two Parties, One Agenda

Theres people who are too extreme on both sides.

If you are one of the cooler headed ones on either side, if you let the extreme ones on the other get to you, you may start acting just like one too....

so just ignore and stay within the bounds of truth and reality.

He's got tiny glands himself, just like his comment in the song. He could have made some skewering comments about gun violence across the board.... drugged white kids obsessed with violent video games and movies, black urban thugs, hispanic gang bangers, crazy asian immigrants and of course, moslems who hate America. Nope, he took the easy path and attacked the people least likely to fight back, the average whitebread gun owner. He's a walking mangina. And even the band was pathetic. Lincoln? made no sense other than he was gunned down. By a MUZZLE LOADED SINGLE SHOT PISTOL. And BOOTH was an ACTOR, did that ever occur to Carrey?. Where was MLK, JFK? Lennon was shot by a crazy, sure. Ghandi? assassinated by a political seperatist. Nope, he wouldn't dare risk offending anybody who might make him uncomfortable.
So intellectually the piece was crap, professionally it was crap. Politically its definitely crap. But who gave this gargoyle his marching orders to push this and why would they want to? To try to push an unpopular message as a last dittch effort or just to piss people off and divide them?

Unfortunately media outlets sold out to the government.
I haven't seen any good journalism ages. It's nothing more than pandering for ratings.

Fox News. Man what can I say that hasn't already been said.

The other news outlets. They all sold out. Why they weren't roasting Obama for the gun walking scandall is beyond me.

And, right after that attack on Fox news:

That wasn't an attack, it was a statement. Are you saying Fox news isn't crooked? Are you serious?

Who is biased now?

You.

To be fair, a parody of a parody is irony, which is pretty sophisticated if you think about it. First and foremost Mr Carrey is a comic and actor. His creations have made people laugh for a long time, and like every comic, some of his material may be considered by some to be distasteful, but thats par for the course, and an occupational hazzard for people in his trade.

There are comics in Britain, as I am sure there are in the USA, who are far more crass, far less artful, and far more deliberately contraversial in EVERY manifestation of thier talent, than Mr Carrey has been in this one song. You might not agree with the messege of the song (which is more than fair enough) but getting upset about it is a waste of effort! Its not as if Mr Carrey is making an actual political statement with this piece. He probably made it, as many comics do, to get a reaction. If you think this is bad, you should look up Frankie Boyle. I love his style, but am totally aware that the things he says are utterly terrible...AND BLOODY FUNNY!

One may not find something funny personally, but one must always be prepared to accept that ones sense of humour, and psychological strength might not be equal to the task of appreciating a certain type of humour, especially if it digs at something that one holds dear. I can laugh when comics take liberties with the Royal family in thier act, even though I respect the Queen, and the Princes deeply. I can fall into gales of laughter when comics do a routine that takes the mickey out of the Unions, even though I am technically a socialist. Not everyone has the mental construction that would allow them to look at humour so objectively, but that doesnt mean that those creating the work ought to fear vilification based on veiws expressed in thier pieces.

In summary, Jim Carrey is a funny guy, but he has a quirky sense of humour which is designed to get a reaction. All I can say is that if people REALLY find this offensive, then those people must really HATE Family Guy. That show has made its fortune based on humour which, by the looks of things must have aggravated everyone on planet Earth at somepoint. Still love that show too.
