Ball lightning

Has anyone ever seen any?

I have. The place at which I witnessed this has had other occurences as well. You could have read a book from the glow. It was a moonless night. It lasted about 10 seconds.

Lightning Balls are only suppodt to last about 5 seconds, did you time this event yourself or is it an estimation?

My grandmother witnessed it once that I'm aware of. Seems it struck her as frightening yet beautiful.

I was driving down a street in Dallas, Texas in a major thunderstorm when a ball of lightning came down from the skies and cruised down the street right in front of me. It travelled about three feet above the street and then dissipated after about 4-5 seconds. It was green in color and very bright and it luckily didn't strike any of the other cars on the road at that time. So, that's my story.
