Jared Loughner Search Warrants and Case Interview Transcripts!

Okay, the Easter Bunny deserves his own basket for this one. I bring everyone a gift for the special day. Oh...do I ever bring a gift. Yes indeed. If ever I found something that just said "Take me to ATS now!" right across it, this is it.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department released thousands of pages of previously sealed documents related to the investigation this week.

Drawing most of the headlines were transcriptions of interviews with Randy and Amy Loughner just hours after the shootings.

Randy Loughner described his son as an "outcast" who was "too smart for his own good." He said that Jared always felt like the "pigs were out to get him," and was always writing in a journal, "in his own script or something."

One set is 59 pages and covers Search warrants as well as property receipts. These are photocopies of the original case file documents, not simply descriptions of what they were.

Another document in the sheriff's department trove is an interview with a Wal-Mart employee who told investigators that Jared had tried to purchase 9 mm bullets there early on the morning of the shooting. The employee lied to Loughner, telling him that the store was out of the ammunition he wanted.

The other are the statements of the Loughners and the Walmart employee. Some is redacted, which may be interesting in itself if people can figure out what might have been in some of the blanks.

I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention? Did someone else post these released documents and I just didn't find it? These seemed pretty critical to understanding one of the 3 defining shooting incidents of recent times?
