To those who doubt the worth of this scratch built remote sniper rifle...
It may have been "cheaper" to buy more guns, and arm more men but I believe that you may be under a false impression.
For a start, it is highly unlikely that the parts which went into the design and manufacture of this system, were paid for at all. They are likley to
have been reclaimed from bits of other machines which are either beyond use (perhaps from bombed out factories and warehouses), or scavenged from
abandoned machinery.
Second, one cannot place a price on a mans life. Many have tried, but it is actually impossible to put a money value on a persons mortal existence.
Therefore, since this system allows a shooter to remain in cover, while able to strike at targets, it is worth more than all the lead ever expended,
more than NASA, more than JPL and the entire warbudget of a western nation, and all the above combined and then some.
