Vaccines could and most likely do cause Autism.

Well I have seen a couple of threads thrown up over the last day or two about Autism and the non-existant link with vaccines. Too me, one case is enough and it seems people are missing some interesting scenarios after children have taken a vaccine. Now I'm no expert on the subject, I don't have autistic kids myself but I think there are important issues being overlooked.

Vaccine court is the popular term which refers to the Office of Special Masters of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, which administers a no-fault system for litigating vaccine injury claims. These claims against vaccine manufacturers cannot normally be filed in state or federal civil courts, but instead must be heard in the Court of Claims, sitting without a jury.

The program was established by the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA), passed by the United States Congress in response to a threat to the vaccine supply due to a 1980s scare over the DPT vaccine. Despite the belief of most public health officials that claims of side effects were unfounded, large jury awards had been given to some plaintiffs, most DPT vaccine makers had ceased production, and officials feared the loss of herd immunity.

Some parents of children with autism spectrum disorders have attributed the disorders' onset to vaccines, often citing the mercury-based preservative thiomersal as the cause, and some have filed suit for compensation from vaccine makers. The medical and scientific communities continue to debate the link between routine childhood vaccines and autism.

The first thing I want to point out is amount of lawsuits which have been made and people have also won. The question I want to ask you deniers is how can parents be winning lawsuits regarding this issue? If there was no link, there would be no need for lawsuits, let alone people winning them also.

(NaturalNews) Quietly and without much fanfare, the federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), or more accurately the congressionally-sanctioned kangaroo court whose sole purpose is to shield the vaccine industry from liability for vaccine injuries, has essentially admitted that vaccines cause autism. As reported by the Huffington Post, two more children who developed autism following routine vaccinations have been awarded millions of dollars to help pay for the lifetime of specialized care they will need to address their injuries.

So how is it that the vaccine court can continue to award ridiculous amounts of money to parents if there is no link what so ever? I think some people need to research this issue a bit further before determining that this is some myth. A lot of kids have wound up with lifelong issues because of these vaccines.

Relate d source - The first case involves a 10-year-old boy named Ryan from California who quickly regressed into an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) following routine vaccinations he received between 2003 and 2005, and specifically the combination measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine. Prior to getting vaccinated, Ryan was a perfectly healthy young boy who was actually quite advanced for his age, according to reports. But after getting the MMR vaccine on December 19, 2003, he rather quickly developed an encephalopathy, or serious inflammation, in his brain.

From the same article..

Similarly, a young girl named Emily developed a seizure disorder and a form of ASD known as pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specific (PDD-NOS) following vaccination with DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis), as well as MMR, HiB (haemophilus influenzae type B), and Prevnar (pneumococcal conjugate vaccine), at 15 months old. According to Emily's court filing, the young girl developed a fever of 105.7 degrees Fahrenheit following the vaccines, which developed into seizures, shaking episodes, and a measles-type rash.

Now one thing that really confuses me is the need for a "Vaccine court" in the first place if there is no connection between Autism and vaccines. Don't you find that stupid? Telling people there is no link and then having a specialised court to deal with the issue at the same time? Why?

The truth is the evidence is inconclusive. They don't know whether vaccines cause autism or not and by awarding parents large amounts of money, they are pretty much conceding that there is a link. Now here's a couple more cases of where infants/children have deteriorated after getting certain vaccine shots.

It was a debate that had been put to rest. Or so we thought.

Almost two years ago, a federal court in the United States upheld a ruling that vaccines are not to blame for autism. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit upheld the decision that there is little if any evidence to support claims of a link between vaccines and autism. New evidence continued to deliver blow after blow to the original theory until the researcher who initially blew the whistle on the supposed link between vaccines and autism was declared a fraud.

The debate appeared to be over — until now.

In a landmark ruling, an Italian court has awarded £140,000 (about $219,000 U.S.) to the parents of Valentino Bocca, stating that the boy's autism was caused by the MMR vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella that he received at 9 months old. Valentino's parents could be awarded an additional £800,000 ($1.2 million) as their case continues.

Just some more proof that the vaccine issue is back on the table. Why rule in favour of the parents if vaccines have no affect when autism is brought to question?

According to a document filed on December 13, 2012, Chief Special Master Patricia E. Campbell-Smith awarded Ryan B. Mojabi $969,474.91 for injuries caused by the MMR vaccine. [1] You should also know the money awarded comes from a vaccine tax and not from taking the vaccine manufacturers to court.

And just to finish off, you aren't even sueing the vaccine manufacturer.. Now I agree that vaccines are very useful but to simply discount a link between Autism and Vaccines is stupid. Again, why have a vaccine court if the evidence is conclusive? Why can't the manufacturer be sued? Prove me otherwise.. Unlike the other two threads posted over the last couple of days, I have provided evidence to suggest that Autism is caused by Vaccines.

Nice catch!

Vaccine courts eh? Red Flag anyone? Especially with the relationship of Big Pharm and the US government??

Can't wait for the GMO courts to pop up!

It just seems stupid that after links between Autism and vaccines have been dismissed, parents today are still winning cases when it comes to the issue. I understand that not every child is vunerable but just because every child who has a vaccine doesn't get diagnosed with autism, doesn't mean that there are a handful who are suffering side-effects which lead to autism. It's actually laughable that they dismiss the issue and continue to award parents with these large sums of money if there is no link what so ever.

Yes I'm sure these are thousands of cases where people have been killed, that's something else that would be definetly worth having a look at

You have some good points OP and I don't think that it can be disproved that there isn't some link between the two. With that said, you still have the problem (And a major one) of what exactly do you do about it?

Without vaccines, people would still be dropping dead of Small Pox, disfigured and crippled by polio and other such afflictions. Some may call them a necessary evil.

Is your solution to outlaw vaccines and hope there are better numbers in having less autism among children at the cost of imminent pestilence that would surely sweep across an unvaccinated world?

I'm just asking because while I know there are dangers that come with it, I don't have a better solution, do you?

As I said at the end, I do see the benefits of vaccines.. But I'm only trying to show people that "Hey, maybe there is something going on here", not stop the vaccine programs or anything. When we have evidence that its possible autism is caused by vaccines, do we sit back and say "Oh well"? The real issue is that the manufacturers are not held accountable these days and truthfully there is nothing anyone can do about it unless you decide not to get your children vaccinated..

But if there is a link, then we should be finding out exactly what is causing this to occur and the manufacturers of these vaccines should be open and contributing to this also instead of denying it to save themselves money. I can't change anything, I am just showing people that it's possible..

I agree, I would prefer truth from the pharmaceutical companies as opposed to stonewalling. Only when we know the whole truth can we be truly prepared to make changes.

You and I both know though, those admissions will not come freely or easily, look to big tobacco to confirm this, they are still trying to maintain there is no real harm that comes from smoking..........

Monsanto is another good example. The truth needs to come out but it will be hard fought to get too, of that we can be sure.

This is a major issue across many boards... The tobacco companies aren't so much denying their ciggies are bad, they are more concerned about being pushed around when it comes to advertising etc.. Well that's what I've seen down here in Australia anyway and I guess they have the right to determine how they advertise but even they lost to the goverment here..

Where is this Vaccine Court?

Oh yes, in the States.
That says it all.

You can get anything you want in the States as long as your lawyer is better than the other lawyer. Even "doctors" who pretend to cure cancer can carry on "practising" there on the back of how much they pay their legal team ("Dr" Burzynski anyone?).
Just because a lawyer wins a case or two (out of the millions and millions of vaccinations performed every year) doesn't mean that vaccines cause autism.
What it does mean is that more people will be jumping on the anti-vax bandwagon in the hope of making a quick buck on the back of their child's illness.
