If they truly are fighting "terrorists", in the true definition of the word, then I have no problem with them. Tying their hands? Please, you give me way too much credit. Obviously their hands aren't being tied, they're being given free reign.

I have plenty of family in the military (some MP), so don't patronize me with your "we do what you're too scared to do" rhetoric. You do what you're TOLD to do.....and if you're told to do something like Ruby Ridge or Waco, y'all do it and don't think twice.

That's what I have a problem with. If you're told by a commanding officer to do a SWAT-style raid on a nursery school because a "terrorist" might be inside, you'll do it, and to hell with the collateral damage. I wouldn't have this negative discomfort with modern cops unless they have proven, time and again, to be at least as dangerous as the "terrorists" they claim to protect us from.

I support genuine police work.....but this new breed of gung-ho, trigger happy "all nuts and no brains" police freaks me the hell out. As a citizen and a tax payer, I have a right to question a rogue police state.

That kind of paranoia really cant be cracked with a logical discussion.

Ill concede that Ruby Ridge and Waco were total screw ups. But ill also have you know they are now required training on pretty much what not to do. Im sorry that it happened, but at least law enforcement has learned from such a mistake.

As for your other statements, no amount of discussion is going to change your mind, and i wont waste my time.
I truly am sorry you feel this way about the military and the law enforcement community. I can assure you that we are not all mindless drones. Are there some, im sure there are. But not all of us.

The same could be said for just about any profession there is.

I will spare you my rhetoric, i apologize you took it in such an insulting manner.

Last thing, if there is a "nice" "clean" way to neutralize an active shooter in a nursery school please let me know. I would love to know there is a way to just tidy up the situation as seen on TV. Unfortunately that is not the world we live in today. Training for this "unthinkable" scenario must be hard, it must be violent, it must use and overwhelming force. An unpredictable person with an agenda that begins and ends with a body count must be eliminated as fast as possible to prevent the body count from escalating. It means training on things that most people find unsettling, like moving through the wounded, or killed without rendering aid because the objective is to stop the shooter. The shooter must come first, he is the one doing the damage, he is the one that must be stopped. I cannot bring an EMS team into any building controlled by a shooter, because they become potential targets themselves...and how can they save lives when they are dead? Can you begin to understand what it is like to break the normal instinct to help and train to walk past people who need aid, men women and children that may have severe gunshot trauma? Knowing they may in fact die before you can get to them?

Im sorry its so violent, i really am. Im sorry that sometimes there is collateral damage, we are fallable, imperfect, mistake ridden creatures. But we are also the most violence capable creature that i have ever seen, and to avoid the issue because it is unsettling is unacceptable to me. We train for the hard fight and we do the best we can with what weve got. Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we fail.

So if thats true then this train is moving west. Perhaps this is in preparation for an expected flare up in North Korea?

If NK did launch an attack, we would be going in full force to put an end to that government. This would be the sort of equipment they might use.

To me it looks like new vehicles are being delivered. The vehicles are probably headed for the Yuma proving grounds.
