Strange Similarities!

I have been noticing a few things recently that I thought were pretty interesting. I am going to show you a series of pictures in comparison to some other things you might have seen online before, or things you might have seen in nature.

Trees/veins/rivers



Now I am sure everyone here as seen trees before, alive or dead. Has anyone ever noticed this though?



This is an artist depiction of veins. Yes the veins in our own bodies and throughout almost all forms of life.

Notice how the main, thick sections (branches/arteries) split apart into smaller veins that then continue to branch off into more veins, etc.

This pattern is also noticed in a few other things.

I'm sure that most of you have seen this comparison by now as well.



or how about this?



This is a satellite image of the Ganges river and it's subsidiaries.

Keep in mind that all of these are natural occurrences.The formation of rivers, the veins in our bodies, the growth of trees, etc.



Here is another picture, one that most people might have overseen.



This is a picture of road formations in South Africa, compare this to any other road maps on the planet, and then compare it to the veins, tree branches, or anything else I've shown you in the above list.

Another example is lightning.



Or how about the wings of a monarch butterfly?



Cracks in cement?




Veins in a leaf?


As you can see these all have vast similarities.


This can also be compared to the way time branches apart from the main timeline into other realities.

Next, I propose this.



This is a rendering of cellular division, or mitosis.

Compare this to



A supernova.


Coincidence? You decide.

I understand that there is a lot we do not understand about our universe, or our existence in general. Maybe there is some connection that is right in front of our nose, but we are to busy looking off into the distance. Note, I'm not proposing that our universe is a tree branch, or a vein in someones arm in a larger universe, but that there is obviously similarities between all of these things. I'm sure that there is a lot more that I probably didn't touch up on. If there is any other connections you may have noticed, feel free to share them here!

I agree that it is really cool stuff, and is very interesting.

I find it interesting with out a doubt, but i recently cam across an article that dismissed this idea at great length. Unfortunately, my attempts to find that paper again have proven futile, but I have found this one for what it's worth.

The Universe Is Apparently Not a Fractal

What a new study found is that the distribution of matter throughout the Universe is not consistent with a fractal-like pattern, since matter is spread out evenly. It may not appear so at first, but experts assure us that it is.

While I am not expert enough to say if this is correct, I think the fractal patterns observed on the macro scale are self evident, and should be examined at great length.

You forgot about lightning! It looks a lot like trees too.

I guess that's why they call it the "tree" of life?

My totally UN-expert opinion on this is that not EVERYTHING can be of a fractal pattern. If that were the case then when we look at the sun we'd see the same flame patterns across the entire surface. I won't delve any deeper into this. Though I am fascinated by fractals, I really know nothing about how or why they exist.

Not a coincidence.

Good examples, same as the way we find the Fibonacci Sequence in all scales of the universe.

There is definitely order in the seeming chaos.

I think if we could 'see' the magnetic connections between all of the bodies in the universe that we would see this repeating fractal pattern. I guess time will tell.
It's all a matter of scale.

Simply as stated numerous times. 'As above, so below'. No truer words, imo.

good observation with the fractal similarity, It's a very old theory and if you hadnt heard about it before and it spontaneously dawned on you then its further proof that even ideas are fractals lmao.

But yeah its been discuss on here before but should always be explored for the younger explorers of ideas.

Keep up the great observations and keep that curious mind ticking over. We need more people asking questions instead of accepting what is spoon fed.

I believe someone posted this a few months back. Good post though.

I couldn't find anything on the exact topic in the search, so I just figured I would make it. It's really just been bothering me. I mean, I understand what fractals are, but what I don't understand is how this is associated with fractals. I've also come to think that maybe this "pattern" isn't actually a pattern, but more so the uncertainty principle. Then again, I don't really know.

What you're observing is broadly called Emergence, or Emergent Effects, whereby simple rules of behavior work in tandem to produce extraordinarily more complex outcomes. Here are a lot more examples of this as well as a detailed explanation: en.wikipedia.org...
