I love all things bizarre. Yes, ATS keeps my brain stimulated at full speed. Topics ranging from politics, secret societies, ancient history, ufo and military phenomenon, fragile earth issues, doom porn, the grey area is always fascinating. I'm fairly open minded and ATS provides the perfect outlet for sharing information. Because of my distaste for social media (tracking and identifying people), for years I've been highly skeptical of joining. But I guess it's plausible to assume I earned my ticket to a FEMA camp a long time ago.

As you can probably tell, I was raised to be a paranoid. My family has a long military tradition. For the most part, no one in our family discussed their careers in the military. While I've been told a few things, it's only led to more questions that would never be answered. So, like most people here, I seek truth and I can spot a BSer a mile a way. However, I maintain the notion that sometimes truth is actually stranger than fiction. I've witnessed some things I simply can not reconcile. I've not found the answers for what I've seen and I'm still searching. I hope one day I will find them.

You sound like the perfect fit and describe your own family similar to how I'd describe mine, across my Fathers end of the Branches, anyway. Literally and figuratively. lol...

Welcome aboard! I'm sure you know how it goes...a mod will be along to park the welcome wagon and offer coffee.

Welcome aboard!

You will fit in just fine, but I warn you your quest to seek the truth will only lead to more questions and those questions will only be sub-divided into smaller questions. You may get a answer here and there but most of the time you are still scratching your head in the end...but it's FUN!

I look forward to sharing ideas with you, peace.

Well, hello to you Wrabbit2000. How appropriate that you're my first reply. I've read many of your posts and comments and find them very insightful. There are so many intelligent people on ATS. Also a lot of, well ... facisnating people! You just never know what you'll run into, I guess. That's what makes it so entertaining. A melting pot of brains! Anyway, thanks for welcoming me. I'm looking forward to my ridicule and "pics or it didn't happen" oh and I do hope phage will occasionally berate me!!! Now that would be a real treat

Welcome new friend!! gad you climbed aboard and joined!!

And I shall give you a poem....

"The going from a world we know
To one a wonder still
Is like the child's adversity
Whose vista is a hill,
Behind the hill is sorcery
And everything unknown,
But will the secret compensate
For climbing it alone?' ~emily dickinson

peace and love

We've all been waiting for you, and I think one of the posters here won the pool on when you'd join. So now you can share the things you know, and ask questions about the things you don't but would like to. Do you know the secret to Pi? No? Soon you will. Have you ever seen a UFO? Here you'll see about a dozen of them a day. And did you know that Mars has almost no rocks on it, but has millions of artifacts and lizards and alien tools and stuff laying all over the place? Yep. Enjoy your adventure here!

Mmmm.... pastries....Just in time for breakfast too. These look divine! Quite a welcoming committee, I must say. Thank you, Des! I admire your sense of sarcastic humor. Now I shall stuff my face with tasty sweetness. Oh if I only had a Medium roast breakfast blend to wash it down....

Well, I guess I'm just glad to know the toilets are getting proper sanitation. Also, those toilet scrubbers are indicative of the astounding job growth in America. With hard work and dedication, those toilet scrubbers will one day work their way up to the higher levels of dulce. Who knows... they could eventually extract reptilian-human hybrid excrement for the potty scrubbers test systems? Now I don't have any proof of that.....

Your comment sums up ATS in a single paragraph. Really made me laugh! Thank you. For every highly intelligent, carefully composed thread I read, there's probably 100 more that just leave me in complete fear for society in general. I still find them equally fascinating! The trolls, the schizophrenics, the uninformed, the zealots. It's such a melting pot of ideas. I enjoy what everyone contributes, no matter their personal beliefs. I take most things with a grain of salt and get a good laugh out of it.

Thank you Natalia, the cat. I appreciate your poem, as it applies to all truth seekers out here. I've learned so much already in the past 4 years just lurking. Now I will get to contribute what I know, which is fragmented unfortunately. With any luck, sharing may help me find the answers I'm desperately seeking.

Funny how that works, isn't it, Agent008? That's how an inquisitive mind is born from an early onset. You ask your Uncle (....), "do UFO's exist?" He replies with a sweet grin and an innocent pat on your head, "well, now I could tell you....but I'd have to kill you, Hahahaa!" You look up at him and think, oh Uncle (.....) he's just kidding... And go out to play ninjas with your friends. Later in life you reflect on every single other event or comment said or accidentally over-heard. Put the pieces together, ask questions, you're given the "I don't knows". How do you dig up all of this information and what happens when you find out the truth?
