Hard to explain reflections on Martian ground ...

I can't think of anything that would explain this except a double-concave mirror or opposed spheres that aren;t in line of sight, really rather odd.

Any ideas ?

I see what you mean, its the light on the ground that looks like it has horns.

EDIT: OK looking at it again it does seem weird, it looks as though the light is somehow doubled up and overlaps.
Im sure some party pooper will be along shortly to claim a photo defect or anomaly or whatever they call it but definately odd.

That's just light from the sun... Look at the angle the light is coming in from in frame (around 10o'clock), that lighter bit matches up nicely with the upper gap.

If anything of worth could be added for line two, I would. I'm sorry.

Pure speculation.

Could this be sunlight reflecting off the rover?

Don't really see what's it all about...don't waste your time on these grainy magnified images. Even if you find something...it will be ignored as an artifact of camera or a rock.

I feel sure this one is the sun shining through a weather eroded area and if you've read my posts I think there is huge evidence of past civilization in lots of the pics from Mars.

Why are the shadows of the rocks going in different directions?

The rock at the bottom right is casting a shadow with the light source coming from about the 2 oclock position.
The rock to the left is casting a shadow with the light source coming from about the 10 oclock position.

I am glad that I was not the only person to be honest with what is being seen and not what is wanting to be seen. This is highly reminisecent of the lizard rock on Mars.

Sorry not a light source at the 2 O'clock that is still coming from the same 10 O'clock one...take a closer look and you can see it is coming over the rock shining on the spots facing the 10.

You obviously are not paying attention. The light source is coming from the noon to 1 o'clock position, which is creating the shadows you point out.

The reflection you see is not a reflection. It is the light that is peering through the two large rocks, left and right, where the gap is.

DUH.
