Can not post external text in tags.

I have had to give up on a few posts in the last few days because the button to post external content inside doesn't work for me. All the other buttons; headline, bold, image, news, you tube ect. work just fine. I would type the tags manually, but I am not sure what they are.

The external tags are [ ex ] to begin, and [ /ex ] to end - minus the spaces of course.

I apologize, I know this is a bit off-topic but I can't start a new thread as I'm new here. I'm having a lot of trouble uploading an avatar. It appears to upload fine but then vanishes on my profile.
