am looking for menus and recipes for squirrel that are delicious and hopefully weight conscience.. suggestions, thoughts and recipes would be welcome.. am an avid shooter and am very interested in learning new things such as recipes..

I ate a lot of squirrel pie while I was growing up.

Stew your squirrel with potatoes, corn, beans, carrots and peas. Dice the meat and put the broth and vegetables in a pastry shell and bake it in the oven.

Nowadays, I just mix the meat with a couple of cans of condensed vegetable soup and put it in a pie crust and bake it.

i have never tried it although want to.. thank you for the tips, and being greasy, was not aware.. i know it is gamey but celery onion and carrots apparently wil help that..?? i enjoy trying new things.. thanks again..
