Get ready for betting in your jammies, at work, from the kitchen table, or at the beach: New Jerseyans — and possibly many others — will soon be able to gamble over the Internet.

You are a sucker to the 'nth degree if you actually pay money to play on these sites.
One major site got great ratings from another site that specialized in rating online poker sites. People trusted it. Turns out, the ratings site was owned by the major poker site. Go figure. There have been numerous poker sites that have been involved in cheating, scandals.. and I hope you folks are smart enough to give them even a dime of your money. If the government was trying to protect folks from sites like this.. it's probably a great idea.
A close friend of my wife just divorced a guy who was addicted to online gaming - he squandered 10s of thousands of dollars over several years, trying to beat the system. You CAN'T WIN. When professional gamblers are asked, "can you come out ahead?" They will all answer.. NO! It's a losing proposition. Only a tiny percentage will be good enough to win.. in the real world. You will not win in the online world. You may have a week or a month or heck, even a year of fortune. But long term, you will lose. Who cares if they legalize it? It's a scam.

I just cant see a major site being involved in cheating, its just not worth it, they make about $10,000 an hour in rake, why cheat, individual players and employees sure, but sites I just cant see it happening

I have been playing for years too . I have seen a dramatic cutback in the percentage that pays out over the years. i have played online for 14 years . On Rtg, 100 would last hours, now your lucky to get a half hour.
I still play, though not as much. Tired of never making a cash out. I really think they are playing the lowest RTP they can .
I would like to see some competition, from the US market, and maybe the play will get better again. I would also love to have microgaming back here. Would be great if some of the brick casinos could strike a deal for the software.
