Ok, I have seen the video a dozen times, and I still have the nagging feeling that the video has been manipulated. I feel like the video speeds up, right before the catch, it feels a little unnatural...

I know there are many Video Experts on ATS, what is your take of it?

I hit your link...

and was treated to a video of what appears to be a pair of water spouts in a Latin American country.

Okay, it appears to be real.
The story is covered in this college baseball site....

Larry Brown Sports- College Baseball Archives

AND it was an incredible catch.... I can see why you wondered if it was real!

My concern is that I only found one angle shot...
Waiting to see if someone else posts a different angle.

College game, IDK what the chances are of finding any other video of it. Maybe someone was taping in the crowd. I am convinced by the corroboration of the story that the video that you posted is real though.

While that Brett Williams catch was impressive, I've seen similar catches dozens of times every baseball season. It also pales in comparison to this catch:

Thanks, I never saw that one before.

That reporter should have bought him dinner!

ETA: Uh oh.
The Evan Longoria video is a fake. I checked it out on Snopes after reading the comments on Youtube.

Well dang it! I have always thought it was real. The first time I saw it was on ESPN and they presented it as authentic footage. Oh well....fool me once...

Yeah, that's why I will like to see if any of our residents experts in video manipulation can find out...
It feels a little off...
