Blackwater mercenaries hired by Greece government for protection against coup

Yet Academi is not doing any sort of operation in Greece. They have sent no one. This is false information.

This whole thing started when Leonidas Chrysanthopoulos, the Greek ambassador to Canada gave an interview about the current financial situation in Greece. And during the interview he claimed that he had been told "by a reliable source" that Blackwater would provide security for Parliament.

An official statement by the Greek Consulate in Ottowa:
“The allegations provided and hitherto reproduced in media, regarding Greek Parliament’s connection with Blackwater/Academi are completely unfounded”.

The official statement from Kelly Gannon, the Press Officer for Academi:
“ACADEMI does not now, nor have we ever, provided security services to any entity of the Greek government.”
