We all face burn-out at some point...usually multiple points in life. When I find myself facing being burnt out, I put that particular subject to the side for a bit and concentrate on something else. It works for me. And usually imbibes me with new vim and vigor.

I just got back from taking care of a friends farmette while they were on vacation and I must admit, it was a vacation for me as well. No interwebs, taking care of the animals, organizing the garages...though that task will take a lot more than just me.

It was refreshing. I hope he and his family take more vacations. I will be there for them everytime.

"Have Gun Will Travel" was television and starred Richard Boone. That may not have been what you had in mind, it came to my mind when reading your OP. Gary Cooper may have watched it, but otherwise wasn't involved.

I don't think it's burn-out as much as it's a paradigm shift..

I just don't feel the need to draw blood as much as I used to.

I stopped banging my head against the wall a while ago. Now I just direct a evil glare at it.

Of course it's a wall and the glare has no effect upon it, but niether did my head. On the plus side, no more headaches!

But I must admit, I still like to push buttons from time to time. Just not as often as I used too.

I dunno. I kept preaching about uniting (during all the gun threads) that I think I actually started believing my own posts!

The world is too divisive. I guess adding to the divide seems kinda wrong somehow.
