Most of us have have heard of the Nobel peace price. A Wikipedia source identfifies:

The Nobel Peace Prize (Norwegian and Swedish: Nobels fredspris) is one of the five Nobel Prizes created by the Swedish industrialist, inventor, and armaments manufacturer Alfred Nobel.

According to Nobel's will, the Peace Prize shall be awarded to the person who "shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.

Since 1901, it has been awarded annually.

Now being in a world where there is so much violence and hatred and war, and fighting i wonder if isnt it time we created the Nobel Evil Prize

This will go to the person who who "shall have done the most or the best work for infraternity between nations, for the creation, ressureaction or increase of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of war congresses.

Ok lets go back through the known recorded history to present date and pick out who we think the winners would of been for the il·lus·tri·ous Nobel Evil Prize.

Edit:

And the criteria against which a indivdual can be nominated for this post humourous award can be broadened. If you think there was someone in history who standouts as pure evil that did stuff that harmed the human race name the historical figure; and anotate with a reason for forwarding as a nominee to the Nobel Evil Prize.

Ooh, this is a tough one. There are so many to choose from.

Of course I want to choose Hitler, but I think that's just the brainwashing talking. Based on stats, I would have to go with Mao though.

Can I choose organized religion? Does that qualify?

I think it's unfair to the fibers in dollars to call them evil, they didn't do anything to anyone.
It's just mean really....or evil?...

Yes but "for example", if its a catholic religion name period in history where the evil peaked and the antiqious Pope holding throne at that time.

"shall have done the most or the best work for ab/confraternity between nations, for the creation, resurrection or increase of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of war congresses."

This kinda narrows it too much for me to play. I think we are going to need a working definition for 'evil' that we can all get along with. Otherwise, it is just going to be some obvious guy in a dress uniform.

I very well may be wrong, but to those who are questioning HopeChests post:
I interpreted that as her(?) stating that 'Money' is evil, not Benjamin Franklin.

Personally, I think that 'Money' is the prize which has already been recieved by those whom promote violence, war, control, domination, death, destruction, etc.. etc.. etc..

'Peace' doesn't usually lead to becoming wealthy, which is part of the reason for having the prize at all. Without the Nobel Peace Prize, many would have nothing to show for their deeds.

Since those on the flip-side usually obtain an abundance of fame and fortune as a result of their deeds, they do not need to be honored by some sort of a silly 'Anti-Peace-Prize'.

Mmmm that's a bit difficult top (Recent figures wise)

Over all time, I suppose I'll put my vote in for Adam Rothschild.

Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and etc. at least thought what they were doing was right, and were "broken clocks that were twice right a day". Adam knew what he was doing was wrong, and constantly did it anyway because he wanted to do the wrong things.

if a person has two hands then they have the capability to do good with one and evil with the other, so yes.

Otto von Bismarck, single handedly fomented the Franco-Prussian war, which led to the unification of Germany and two world wars after that..... Germany for 1914 and Germany again for 1939....
