Hi everyone. My husband and I decided we want to post some of his DVR recordings of people on the 'other side'. Most are incredible and very clearly understood - more than just words, they are full sentences and responses to what we have said. They are WAV files which are looped and can be heard if you have the WavePad or Audacity programs. Possibly other programs can play them as well, not sure. Can we do this? If so, how? Obviously, most people don't have these programs. However, Audacity is free to download. I can't seem to find the correct tutorial for downloading an EVP link, if it's possible at all.

Can someone help? Thanks!

A .wav is a very universal file that will play on nearly every device. It will most likely even play in your car's CD player.

You can use winamp, itunes, and probably a thousand other pieces of software to convert the wav to mp3, to compress the file and make it easier to transfer.

In Winamp, use the mp3 output plugin to convert files from wav to mp3.

Hey would you be able to export the sound clips?

manual.audacityteam.org...

Then we can just download the .wavs or .mp3s and listen to them on any audio player.

So these recordings are on a dvr?Can you not just get a rca to headphone wire, plug the red and white rca end of cable into the back of the dvr and the headphone jack end of the cable into your computers microphone socket and record the sound using the sound programme you mentioned?

Another option is to use a free hosting service. One that is ATS friendly is 4Shared. You can upload the files and post the download links

ETA: See this post for an example.
