not true a BBC crew walked right into area 51 last year and knocked on the door of their tea room / guard room.
They got shouted at. guns pointed at them and arrested. They were not killed.

Being there makes it more real....

There's really nothing to worry about. I've camped there plenty of times. Never was in any danger. In fact I got a flat once, and they drove up and watched me put my spare on for 30 minutes. If anything, I knew if I had any trouble, they'd be making a call for me.
