While true that Obama has no say over what may get proposed, he sure as hell will illustrate himself as the slimy hypocrite that he is if he signs it.

They are still trying to implement the Global Tax to be paid directly to the World Bank, and Global Banking Syndicates....

This must be Stopped.

At a rate of $20 per ton, the total bill to the Global Banking Syndicates from the United States ALONE would be about a trillion dollars per year.

IT would completely crush our economy, military, civilization, etcetera... and the Global Banks would use the money to create their own military force to further take over the world.

There's one problem with a federal carbon tax most people seem to be unaware of. Property taxes. The power of property taxes is a state power delegated to them by the Constitution. They are direct taxes. This is the issue that shot down the 1896 income tax act and required the 16th Amendment in order for the federal income tax to be legalized.

And the major problem a carbon tax will have is this.

Article 1 sec. 9 para. 4
No capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the
Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

And to trigger this all the companies that are being taxed have to do is own shares in the energy source being taxed. The coal mines and or oil wells. And then the total amounts of tax then has to be divvied up among the 50 states according to population and then the states are required to pay it.

His own fan club, turning on him?

Obama The Puppet Master:

President Barack Obama is a master at limiting, shaping and manipulating media coverage of himself and his White House.

Not for the reason that conservatives suspect: namely, that a liberal press willingly and eagerly allows itself to get manipulated. Instead, the mastery mostly flows from a White House that has taken old tricks for shaping coverage (staged leaks, friendly interviews) and put them on steroids using new ones (social media, content creation, precision targeting). And it’s an equal opportunity strategy: Media across the ideological spectrum are left scrambling for access.

The results are transformational. With more technology, and fewer resources at many media companies, the balance of power between the White House and press has tipped unmistakably toward the government. This is an arguably dangerous development, and one that the Obama White House — fluent in digital media and no fan of the mainstream press — has exploited cleverly and ruthlessly.

Obama isn't responsible for this. It's people. Lots of people. All across the world.

Sorry to tell you but the green energy sustainability thing is not going away. I remember having a small interchange with somebody on ATS about this and he just flat out denied that there was a growing and substantial crowd of people in our country that're part of the sustainability/agw/green energy movements. Well, sooner or later, he'll have his evidence. The AGW issue is not going away. The sustainability movement is not going away. They're here to stay. They're growing. It's only a matter of time before they're making significant policy decisions. In fact, they already have been involved in government. Give it another 20-30 years and they'll be a majority.

If you look at our schools, they're drilling kids with this stuff. This is what kids are going to be thinking about when they're adults and when they enter government. There's no going back now.

Even if this AGW thing turns out to be bunk, we still have pollution and depletion to be concerned with. For example, fossil fuels are widely reported to be on the downturn. We may not have more than 40 years of cost effective oil/gas. Population growth hasn't stopped. The oceans are still acidifying too. Coal power emissions have killed at least 100,000 people in the US in the past 10 years. Top soil is being depleted by heavy farming across the world. Clean water is being exhausted. Extinctions are high. Sustainability will still be an important issue going into the future.

This means government will want to "police" industry and residents to ensure nobody is polluting or using more than is mandated. This engine will have lots of fuel. This is decades in the making. Bottom line, we no longer live free. There're too many people and our technology shrinks the planet.
