GTA 5 coming soon! Cant wait.

I kinda hope they don't have gas for cars in GTA 5. there's allot of open space on a map as big as the one in GTA 5 not including the Las Santos area which is supposed to be almost exactly the same size as the real L.A. plus you have all of that Mojave desert area to cross. In mafia 2 you had to fill up your car with gas once in a while but Bay City is nowhere as big as the Las Santos area is supposed to be. It would suck if they had electric cars you would half to recharge and knowing how Rockstar likes to make things relateable to real life there wouldn't be a whole lot of charging stations for electric cars and trucks. It would be cool if they had an electric car that resembled a Tesla roadster or a Chevy volt. Those would probably be the only electric cars i would drive.

I recently heard about some of the hidden weapons that you can obtain on the map in GTA 5. They have confirmed that there is going to be a gauss rifle! That's right a GAUSS RIFLE! like in Halo or Fallout New Vegas.Can you imagine the destruction of such a gun in a populated area in GTA 5? Im thinking its going to be similar to the gauss rifle in New Vegas because its not going to be a turret like the one seen in Halo. It will probably resemble a modern tactical rifle but that shoots ferromagnetic projectiles.

There is really no official info like that out there.
Everything (unless it comes directly from R*) is pure speculation.

Are you "Console Lovers" aware that you only play your awfully decapitated games on 720p ??

With your graphic so low and bad its destroying your eyes? (yes it could be a conspiracy)

But for us who actually can handle a self build computer are gonna run the game in 1080p !

And with full graphics!!

You never even got Red Dead Redemption, one of the greatest games of the decade.

Have they actually said that it is coming out for the current generation consoles?
I have a hunch that GTAV is actually only going to work on the new consoles.
If September is right then the new XBOX may already be out (just before June was the last console release date rumoured).
Would they have their new game available for the old console?
The latest rumours are that next gen consoles will not play last gen games.
I guess it's wait and see.

p.s. I just got Red Dead Redemption for super cheap (not 2nd hand for once), can't wait to play it. Well I haven't played it yet, so I guess I can wait.

I know its going to be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 on the first release, as for it being on the next gen consoles I'm unsure. I hope it is available for the PS4 or at least make the PS4 & Xbox 720 backwards compatible with GTA5 and the older ones so that Idont half to buy a new copy for PS4 when I get a PS4. I can still play GTA SA, 3, and vice city on new systems with no problems.

I have read online articles that they are going to improve the driving experience and saying it will be less "boat like" and more racing game like. What a relief because it is like driving a boat with wheels in GTA 4. I wish they could have an interior view for most cars and aircraft. They put so much detail in the interior but you hardly get to see it in first person mode. Also they are making the cellphone feature more like a smartphone with in game web browsing, and other features. I hope they keep the cheats for vehicle spawns, no or clear wanted level, weapon sets etc.

Thats the whole Idea of GTA5; how everyone loved GTA SA and how everyone loved the relatively realistic graphics in GTA 5. I liked GTA 4 but ever sense I completed that game and messed around in free roam I always hoped that they would make a GTA like this but with so much more. I assume that Rockstar Games capabilities were limited by disk space and how much graphics and detail they can add when using allot of disk space for map size, vehicles, weapons, etc. but not anymore. I also hope they include more entertainment at shows like the Split Sides comedy club but with more comedians and stand up acts(come on! only one stand up show from two famous comedians?). It would also be cool to see an arcade or movie theaters that you can go in and use or even rob.

So it has been confirmed that Tommy Vercetti will be returning as one of the main protagonists. Who better than the original protagonist from GTA 3 and vice city? He was arguably my favorite protagonist in the GTA series. I nearly crapped my pants when I saw him in that scene when he met CJ in GTA SA(just kidding) CJ wasn't a bad character, in fact he is on my top 5 list for GTA characters I hope he really is in GTA 5. Necko Bellic was cool but defiantly not in my top 5 GTA characters list. An ex Russian soldier does make for a good GTA protagonist but it kinda makes him shunned by the patriotic side of America and almost all of liberty city was against communists, immigrants and terrorism at the time of GTA 4. You hear all about it on the radio. Makes you feel like your character doesn't belong in that country. besides Necko didn't even want to move to America anyway, he did it for his cousin Roman. And I'm tired of all of these rumors of Necko being in GTA 5 as the homeless guy with the sign for money in the first trailer. I don't think Necko would have any reason to move to LS because its so far away and it has more of what he hates about America in it than liberty city.

That actually makes more sense than what website I read about it off of. At least they were right about Necko not being in it. I hope they at least include Tommy as a character in the story like what they did in GTA SA with the GTA 3 character. Who was the main character in 3 anyway? Its been so long sense i played 3 i forgot and it looks allot like Tommy from vice city that's why I used to think it was him.

Anyone read anything regarding the PS4? I'd hate to spend 60 dollars on this only to ignore it a few months later because it's on the old system.

No one knows. I'd say that Rockstar wouldn't put this on next gen because it can't be as good as they'd want it to be as a port ( even a port with shiny graphics) .
The first game they released in current gen was table tennis, that was their first game to use RAGE too.
They are always saying (and have even used this to explain the delay) they want their game to be as good as it can be before they release it.

They are not going to throw out their biggest title as an experiment for new consoles, chances are they are working on something(new IP) but I find it highly unlikely we'd get GTAV on next gen, maybe in 10 years for an anniversary.

I'm not getting because i'm not really interested in the Grand Theft Auto series.

I didn't realize until today that it had been delayed. I had been under the impression it was coming out this spring.


So it's confirmed out mid-september, and PS4 is slated to be out this "Holiday Season" and will likely not be backwards compatible with PS3/PS2/PS1 games. I really hope this doesn't debut on PS4 as I won't be getting one for the first year or so while they work out the kinks in the new platform. I've had it reserved since it was announced (reserved for PS3 specifically - so I'm not too concerned).

I can't wait for a new GTA. While 4 might not have had the best storyline/protagonist it had multiplayer and that was something I had wanted since I first played GTA 3. I spent many a night perfecting the right way to angle my helicopter to hack up players on the runway @ the airport.

I hear ya. I'm preordering my copy of GTA 5 next month in April. I did like GTA 4. I wouldn't consider it my favorite but I did like 4 very much for its realism compared to the San Andreas generation but the A.I. and other features in 4 was flawed. I am stoked that they are in a way combining the graphics of GTA 4 with what GTA SA was capable of with many improvements in game play and A.I. GTA 5 is suppose to top all other Rockstar games and that is saying allot based on what Rockstar games has been up to these past ten, twenty years.

III's main character was Claude, who didn't speak at all.
It's a shame ere won't be any returning main characters form the III era, but it makes sense since technically they don't exist in this era.
