Ok so this happened about one minute ago, i was browsing facebook and a friend messaged me. Here's the freaky part: my phone vibrated the same moment
i got the message, two times, just like when you get a facebook message. I'm always logged off on my phone so i checked to see what the hell. Not too
surprisingly i get the facebook notification icon, the sender and part of the message, i select it but then it asked me to input my password because i
was not logged in.
Tested it with a friend and nontheless i still got notifications even though i was logged off.
I consider this to be further proof that Facebook is a personal information mining platform and profile compiler, because it stays active even if you
are logged off and it still sends data to the servers, data collected from its surroundings.
Last year, while i was sniffing data packets from my computer to test something, the program picked up a data packet named fbwxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (x is my
facebook id number) which was sent from my webcam driver to a fbcdn URL (Facebook Content Delivery Network). I think this was a screenshot sent from
my webcam to facebook's clouds. Unfortunately i wasn't too clever to take a screenshot, sorry.
So i want to ask you guys and tech heads if you have encountered any of these strange happenings(?).
