Amazing! Great work there. Add a bracket to hold the phone at prime focus, and go asteroid hunting!

But why do you need to record videos of the moon?
I mean I get viewing the moon with your telescope. I have one. There's nothing like seeing it yourself. BUT why would you want to take a video of it, when you can find so many online? The whole point of having your own telescope is so you don't have to watch videos of the moon.

The possibility of capturing something interesting, if you know what I mean.
Why not share something that's raw and done from someone like you and I? Rather than material that's trickled down different channels and protocols before it reaches the public.

2 reasons
1 it's fun and a challenge to do it and the Compare it to people who have spent a few thousand dollars on equipment
2 if I can do this for $800 then shouldn't we expect better from NASA with the budget they have.
The vids I've posted are not my best efforts I made a few mistakes along the way when editing and not saving in HD and this is from only one 10 min video now that I got good editing apps I will be able to zoom in a lot more next time
