Yesterday NASA launched a rocket that created two red vapor trails in space that was visible from the ground. This was supposed to be a test to create the cloud...here is the link...

They said this was test for later missions to observe various science phenomena in space, but the article seems vague. It does say what phenomena they are talking about. Does anybody know what phenomena they hope to see with these red clouds in space?

I'm just curious.

They are testing to see how many people would be able to see a nuke blast on Mars from Earth........Gotta kill off some of those aliens if we want any type of research done.....

Yep I remember reading that they were going to test coloring clouds or something similar for noctilucent clouds as well. Of course that is the "Official" story who knows what they are up to, Project Red-Beam?
