Assault-rifle owners statewide are organizing a mass boycott of Gov. Cuomo’s new law mandating they register their weapons, daring officials to “come and take it away,” The Post has learned.

Gun-range owners and gun-rights advocates are encouraging hundreds of thousands of owners to defy the law, saying it’d be the largest act of civil disobedience in state history.

The ink was hardly dry on the sweeping gun control legislation signed by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo before people began discussing the active resistance by citizens who plan to disobey the gun control measures.

Owners of weapons deemed “assault weapons” in New York State have until April 15th 2013, to register their weapons with the state authorities. However, many within the Empire State have already begun to mount a resistance to the edict, noting that gun registration is just the first step by government to obtain information on who has what guns; the second step, they claim, is gun confiscation- a measure Governor Cuomo has stated is a distinct possibilitys.

Oh I know it's an error on their part not yours. Well all the talk locally is very heated to say the least. If they think this is going to be another quiet situation I have news for them, the people have had enough. Things will get ugly if they don't just back off.

Nothing would be more American than 100% NON-compliance to this law.

It is the absolute duty of We The People to stand against modern day Traitors. We must all support and defend the Constitution of America and not give into these Traitors.

HARTFORD -- A false fire alarm, 45-minute waits to get into the Capitol complex, even the heckling of a bereaved parent of a Newtown shooting victim marked Monday's day-long legislative hearing on gun control.

"The Second Amendment!" was shouted by several gun enthusiasts in the meeting room as Neil Heslin, holding a photo of his 6-year-old son, Jesse Lewis, asked why Bushmaster assault-style weapons are allowed to be sold in the state.

This is really sad!

You guys are quite delusional about what cannot be achieved with personal armaments. The IRA had less than a hundred trigger pullers at one any time and fought a world power to a draw, all while using weapons that were illegal I might add. Never underestimate the ability of an armed indigenous population, ask the VC.

That is a lie, he was not heckled. He asked a question, he got an answer.
Yes there were 2 people that said "The Second Amendment!" and they were asked not to do it again by others members there in support of our rights.

Unfortunately i was stuck at work, but I was getting updates as it happened from members of the CCDL. It is funny how the media twist the truth to fit there agenda, does anyone believe the media anymore?

The real sad part about the legislative hearing is that people like Beth Bye, ignored the testimonies that went against her gun control agenda, by messaging friends on facebook. Now at first I could not see her screen that well in the photo and gave her the benefit of doubt, until I seen her facebook page and the stuff she was posting, then another photo (closer) of her messaging on face book.

I don't care what her opinion is, I pay her to work not play on facebook and yes I damn well did send her a facebook message telling her just that!

You are aware that a Bushmaster AR style "assault" rifle was never used in the school shooting and are rarely used in murders, right? And, for the record, assault weapons are capable of full auto or three round burst, which are not sold to the general public without a class III license. The propaganda you are being fed is devoid of facts, which the anti gun leftists are known to be terrified of. Why be correct when you can manipulate people through emotion to give up their freedom.

Also, if I hear "clip" one more #@%^*&^ time...it's called a MAGAZINE. A clip is a STRIPPER CLIP, completely different thing. If they cannot get simple terminology right, then they shouldn't be on tv or hold office.

Perhaps after you've pulled your head out of your posterior end, learned something from history and denied your willful ignorance, you will comprehend the MILIIONS of people who have defended their liberty against tyrants who would take it.

An immediate an modern example are the Afghanis, who with their "pop guns" have withstood the onslaught of tanks and drones for over a decade by the Americans and for over a decade prior to that by the Russians.

Still amused? Still ignorant? The danger posed to society by uninformed people like you are far more hazardous to society than lawful gun owners. If only we could find a way to ban stupidity...

Let me say that you are on the Front Lines. A direct assault of our God given Rights is under attack. New Yorkers We the People of these United States of America stand with YOU! First let me make it CLEAR that I do not want Violence, But I Do say that the Ones that has broken their oath of office should be Removed from their office by way of Impeachment and new elections be held as soon as possible. Anyone that voted for a ban on Guns needs to be removed from OFFICE. Also a petition to the courts to find Said Ban Unconstitutional. Their is still time to make a change, But we need to try every possible avenue before the use of force is taken. After that LOCK AND LOAD... PRAISE THE LORD AND PASS THE AMMO!!! God be with you.
