Aside from the menial work that most in developed societies wouldn't touch unless absolutely forced to, there's no way for an "immigrant" to "steal" your potential job unless they're more qualified than you.

I have seen perfectly qualified citizens denied a job while an illegal hardly knowing the language was hired instead.
