Correct but the better correlation in terms of the Amendments would be "the Press"; The press, in the late 1700s had nothing to do with what we term today as "the press". It was the instrument, rather, the tool at the time that was used to support the free speech clause. In identifying it, it implied that the tool utilized to disseminate that speech shall be free of infringement.

Of course, today we have the FCC that has claimed ownership of the "public air waves" in order to regulate. Similar to how they are trying hard to regulate the Internet. It has to be done via back channels and/or a bureaucratic means to implement.

That is how they will effectively limit an individual's right to bear arms too. Through the myriad of Executive level agencies from Commerce to Homeland Security, rules will emanate from them and not via Congress.

Really? That's why every gun shop in Eastern Washington is short on just about everything to do with reloading? Sure sign that the "majority" supports gun control.

I've called fifteen gunshops in eastern Washington looking for brass for reloading my smith and wesson, and I can't find any anywhere...

Well at the start it was a good idea, The problem is Americans really do not have many real problems to complain about so they just ad crap has no logic or common sense thus we have this treason stupidity, kicking out states, and building death stars. Most of planet if given this opportunity with their gov would be asking for clean water, some kind of education, freedom to say what they wanted, womens rights, power that is on 24 hours a day, safe food, or enough food for 3 meals a day. And intead we have people posting jokes and stupid stuff. We really do have it way to easy even in the so called hard times.

Many of the people who live in this country today are descended from people who came here from other places not so long ago. They may have been happy for a while being treated like well fed zoo animals but they are human beings. They can think and reason and they can see that they are being treated like milking cows.

The people you speak of might be happy just to be here....for a while. But human beings do not want to be owned and ordered around like dogs even if they are comfortable.
