Some of the things I have found by simply translating from Arabic/Persian to English had me laughing for hours. I got bored yesterday and decided to
start translating random words and finding out what they meant in another tongue. I used mostly religious words to start with before just using
household words. I found a few interesting ones though.. Its well known that Barack means To Bless or Bless in Arabic. That was the first word I used
but heres a list of what I found from the two different Middle Eastern Languages. I didn't realise how different they actually were. First I'll
start with the Persian.
Jesus = Spy
Church = Wheel
Jew = Atmosphere
Angel = Parasite
Holy = Solution
God = Ring
Mother = Holy
Fire = Splendor
Torah = Jackal
Koran = Century
Book = Facebook
Holy Book = Facebook Settlement
But what I found interesting was the Arabic translations. There seems to be a couple of household words which appear when translating into English.
These are the ones that gave me a chuckle.
Church = Company
Jew = Atmosphere
Christ = Fierce
Prophet = Rehearsal
Demon = Within
God = There
Mother = Exciting
Sinai = Chinese
Judea = Very
Torah = See
Koran = Wedding
Now the next one is the funniest of the lot. I thought I would type in bible expectin to get some religious translation or something.. But I was
surprised when this came up.
Bible = Paypal
There were a few other sentences which came up with FBI, Against CNN and a couple of others. I recommend people try this out. Some of the translations
are quiet funny..
