Muslim Brotherhood gets F-16’s from Obama

The State Department has refused to cancel or delay the delivery of several American-made F-16 fighter jets to Egypt, claiming that the arms deal serves America’s “regional security interests,” according to an official State Department document obtained by the Free Beacon.
The news that the Obama administration would uphold an aid package to Egypt that included the military hardware prompted concern on Capitol Hill from lawmakers who said the deal was not prudent given the political situation in Egypt, where Muslim Brotherhood-backed President Mohammed Morsi has clashed with democratic protestors.

I'm not 100% but I do not think fighter jets to Egypt was part of the accord.

Many people overlook the advantages of foreign military's using our aircraft. If Egypt, or any other country using our aircraft, do something we don't like, we can just cut them off for parts and maintenance. They rely on continually getting the parts they need from us. It wouldn't take very long at all before their whole airforce would be grounded.

It is appalling that the Obama Administration would send F-16s and 200 military tanks to Egypt in
the wake of the instability, and the anti-American and anti-Israel atmosphere.

Read my above post. We would be smart to supply Russia, China, North Korea, or any other country that could potentially declare war on us with aircraft.

right because when they get them they cant reverse engineer the parts?(sarcasm)

Who cares? It's old gear, and we have far superior stuff anyway.

Besides, since we designed and used it for years -- we know all of the weaknesses these jets have.

This is really just an excuse for someone who doesn't like Obama to run their mouth and get worked up over. Move along, it's not that big of a deal.

I don't know if you're familiar with an F-16, but years of R&D go into developing these aircraft. Sure, they could recreate a simple bracket or something that breaks. But when you start getting into the electronics and composite structures, you have to have that infrastructure already in place to mass manufacture these parts to support a war. In a very short amount of time the airforce would be dwindled down to maybe 10% capability. Not to mention the time required for the R&D and training they'd have to do in order to reverse engineer it. Whatever war they were engaging in would already be over.

The fact that Obama, namely Washington DC, is giving money, like billions, and military surplus to the Muslim Brotherhood should be completely SUSPECT! Now, I don't watch any MSM outlets but for F sakes are any of them covering this, you know like they did Casey Anthony or Alex Jones on Piers Morgan? Giving the Muslim Brotherhood tanks and jets and money and anything else they desire is literally supporting terrorism.

But wait a minute, my bad, I forgot the US Gov't fully endorses, supports, trains, feeds, clothes, arms, and funds terrorists. They always have and they always will but yet we Americans must strip away our rights in the name of combating terrorism? What the deuce? Just like the War on Drugs, the War on Terror is the exact same scam.

The American people should be up in arms about this issue but instead they're all worried about their guns. They'll need their guns but it would be F'ing nice if they got really pissed off about their Gov't funding the very terrorism they're supposed to be fighting.
