Anway, I copied those coordinates in to google maps and zoomed out a bit and then looked at the terrain option on the map, it is visible on the terrain map so I think it is a natural formation. Area has also been used in a Russian green peace poster apparently because of the ice melting I imagine. Learn new things every day I guess.
