The Night

Do you ever wonder
Why demons live in light?
To deceive the souls of lost
And make the wrong seem right?

Why is it our people
Live only to berate?
To spread their crooked views
Of ignorance and hate

Where has our kind gone?
All blinded by the light
They front their broken anger
And portray it as their might

Like sheep to the slaughter
Our people walk as one
One by one, to their deaths
Straight into the sun

Consumed by hero worship
They bow to the enlightened
And I watch from afar,
The spell leaving me frightened

Reality will dawn
At dusk it will bestow
The ignorant will die
Burning down below

From paper, they rule us
From cameras, cops, and phones
Re-wiring our minds
A vast army of drones

From this we can't escape
It's everywhere and more
Your television, stereo...
Your neighbor right next door

To maintain humanity
Five-hundred Mil.
Is it an online game?
Or is it very real?

Those of us awakened
We seek, but we can't find
A loophole through the prison
An asylum for our mind

Our leaders demonize us
Condemning our dark fate
They wish us dead, they want to kill...
To exterminate.

So how do we go stray?
How can we resist?
Our minds, thoughts, and souls
In them, we persist

A glare upon the world
Cast by the elite
Their ignorance of us
Will lead to their defeat.

Don't follow the sun
Lead by the blind faith
Drawn to your demise
Like a mindless wraith

Where the truth resides,
You all will dare to tread
But you have no other choice,
Your souls on a thin thread

For when the dawn comes,
The earth engulfed in light,
Deny the ignorance.
Step into the night.
