Well the French and English have gone back to their imperialistic ways. They are claiming to be fighting terrorism.
But we know better. The real war is about dominating the African continent and stealing resources.

What resource is there in Mali you may ask?Well I will tell you.SAND they wish to sieze control of this valuable and much needed resource. After all without Sand in their knickers there would be less to whine about.

The rebel forces have already reported. That French planes have been targeted the civilian population. They have reported this before. We all know they speak only the truth!!

The reports on involvement state that this is against terrorism. We here all know this is a falsehood. The Jihadist
in Mali only want to protect the people. They have no other agenda and love us all. As Jihadist are a peaceful people.

End/Sarcasm

Self-censorship. Nothing inappropriate, but my opinion on the matter is too unweighted at this time.

I see what you did there. Well as far as I can translate what you've written I see what you did there. I think.

But no, it's gold and uranium.

Hope this helps.

The post was sarcasm. But I will concede to your point on Gold.I checked Wiki on Mali's resources. They only mentioned Gold and Water. But it could be outdated so I gave you a star.

I love it ........hold of to join a war and dont jump right in to make a rash decision =bad guy
be the first to strike =bad guy

Its awesome to be in no win situations........must be nice where you are on that high and mighty horse....

Its also awesome how the US is getting blamed already in this thread for this also......

And the french? I thought they didnt want to have anything to do with the war on terror because it didnt concern them.......

Guess that finally changed.......like everyone said it would

i'm certain you understand sarcasm, tell you what, here's a deal your govt could cut with the uk and france - your military has some great toys and we all love to play, so if you keep piers morgan and allow french fries to remain as such i'm sure they will let you join in.

It's mostly about protecting the uranium mines that supply Areva's nuke plants and others.
Nuclear fuel is a very lucrative business (even more if you control the supply).

Then, those terrorists are getting too close to these installations, with their nasty habit of abducting their employees.

And then, it's about making the place uncomfortable for them so they decide to go fight on another theatre.
Something like lybia, egypt, syria. places that have been offered to them on a golden plate, so that they let the big boys rape the lands where the goods are.

For them, those sunni djihadists should be fighting the other way, closer to their ennemy, the chiite Iran.
We'll even give them free weapons if they do so. Don't follow the plan and it's drones next.

The reality is we have to start thinning out the muslums and this sounds like a pretty simple place to start. soon they will be in every country trying to take over so the more we thin them out the better.

I think the UK's only involvement is supplying the French with 2, c-17 transport air craft. But apparently one of them broke down on the runway.

fair enough Dude

in a general sense though, i cant help but feel from seeing recent post here on ATS that some US posters take it very personally when the foreign policy, habits/faults of the rulers of the US (yadda yadda) are criticised - this is a conspiracy website and these are not attacks on the US land or people, they are entirely separate and if they aint discussed here, then where? it really aint personal and we all have the right to debate what goes on in relation to other countries.

i'm a brit, i have had and have plenty of american friends, and i dont think that they are in charge of your army/president/ foreign policy or whatever or to blame for mine or others disagreements with them when they occur... just like they dont think i am responsible for the queen, the british empire, maggie thatcher, tony blair or whatever. feel free to take a pop at them, i'll more than likely join in
