People may ridicule but I have always believed there is power in large groups of people gathered together believing\thinking the same thing.

No, I am not religious, more spiritual actually but do believe there is a hint of truth in the positive power of "prayer" especially in large groups.

Well, we don't know that yet. But we do know they're more structured, societal, and intelligent than we once thought they were. Considering they have slaves, slave revolts, spies, wars, and sabotage, to name a few. So just because humans have not learned to communicate with them yet, doesn't mean it can't be done. (There are a few threads here on ATS about ants. Some very interesting reading)

ET may not be any more advanced than we are socially or societally. Technological advancement does not equate to species superiority.

Oh, I am not belittling the ants, not at all, I have read many of the ant threads here and in my youth I even won a science fair with my pictures of the ant anatomy and presentations of my study of the ant and observations from my ant farm.

I was just wondering why the poster I replied to would assume an ant would pray to us when, like I said, they seem quite oblivious to our presence until of course we start killing them.

If, in fact, an ant does pray I very seriously doubt it would be to us, was all I meant.
