that's funny....

I used to take my girlfriends cat and do "breakdance kitty" in the kitchen..

take him and lay him on his back and spin him around...

while singing "breakdance kitty"...

I did that once
I felt pretty bad afterward and havent done it since though. I felt bad because it was so gd funny watching him roll in the same spot 20 times before he stoped. Then he got up and tried to walk. tried would be the key word here

I have to say the image of you 2 spinning your cat around on your kitchen made me laugh more than the video!

but I don't think that's "why" it was put here...or at least, it certainly doesn't appear to be hte reason....

So this would be the first time a thread evolved from the original intended purpose?

"Want to see a cat in zero G? Here's a link to a video of a cat in zero G! I hope PETA never sees this."
This doesn't look, nor is it worded, in any way other than to watch a cat tumble around....for the enjoyment of those watching it...I've posted better that was moved to chit chat that didn't contain any abuse.

[quoye]It's very odd that we have a more ardent and swift reaction to this, than the reactions to detailed analysis of beheading videos.

No it's not! I have an affinity for the innocent, children and animals that can not help themselves....you learn about a person when this type of thing comes up.

The first toss was too hard, I'll give any activist that but, then again how many times do you think he tossed a cat in zero g. It was posted as a fun video which it was, how does anyone know that the cat wasn't purring away and having a jolly ol' time!

For learning pourpose, trying to figure out how the cat was able to rotate like that with out contact with an outside force. I have never been in a zero G enviroment and I don't think a human would be able to rotate around like that. Every video I have seen shows people needing to push off a wall or whatever to be able to get there body to change direction or rotate.

Edit: speaking of dizzy cats, mine use to sit on my computor chair and would try to attack me every time I would get near it. A few times i would spin the chair around and my cat would swipe at my hand every time I touched the chair to spin it more. One time i got her so dizzy that her eyes would be spinning, though that didn't stop her from TRIING to still play and swipe at me.

The Verdict is in!

I showed this video to my cat Pauley.
He CAN'T stop Laffin' now..

I may have to take him to the Vet, if he doesn't regain his composure..

For learning pourpose,

Sorry, I find it hard to believe that scientists can put men in space, walk the moon, make artificial intelligence but they have no idea what will happen to a cat in zero G.........I'm not gonna buy it. I know I am in the minority here, I always am when it come to children and animals....but that's the way I am....I can't the thought of a child/baby or an animal being scared or abused. I am very, very soft hearted with innocents!
