Why are there no telephones in China?

Sorry for the crap joke folks but after a 9 hour non-stop drive to the other side of Europe this was the only one i could come up with :

Q : Why are there no telephones in China?

R : Because there are so many Wings and Wongs people keep Winging the Wong number...

Yea yea, crap i know but thought i would give it a try!?

Of course i know that there are telephones in China, but was just making a sad attempt at humour... Oh dear i need to sleep and come up with a decent pun.
