So, you are asking those who work and provide jobs for others, to bail out our government....
Surely you jest....

Thanks again for the replies. I would not define anyone who reply here as a troll. It is just that each has his/her own perspective that needed to be gotten off the chest. It can be theurapatic, rather than bottled inside, so long as no one is hurt or harmed.
Children are our most precious resource, and as a civilised society, we must do all we can to help and give them opportunities in life to grow up sane and contribute to the good of our society. Without children, there can be no continuation of a nation or even our world. They are part of the reason why we are even alive, as we had been for our forefathers and foremothers.
China and Japan are facing an aging silver population. They have not enough children to replace them, and soon, those countries will be in deep economic trouble. We must not end up like them.
Taxes - the contribution of a bit of what we have, will goes towards our future - their social expenditure.
I agree wholeheartedly that social welfare should be MEANS TESTED, to ensure our hard earned and contributed tax dollars go to the ones who truly need it, and not those whom can afford SUVs or live in mansions on the other side of town.
Futhermore, the middle classes and the poor should not be burdened with high taxes, but let each of them pay the minimum, and for those whom can share a bit more, search their hearts and contribute to taxes for regulated social expenditure, and not to the often dubious unregulated tax deductable 'charities'.
The rule of 'teaching a man to fish to feed him for life' must apply, and that can only happen through the govt's budget for social expenditure for education, jobs, health, etc.
Taxes is how we can fund a thriving society. In the past, some had thought that borrowing is good enough to fund the national budget without taxing the population. However, we this living generation had seen the folly of such 'borrowings' that had seen wealth being wastefully spent by elected representatives of our recent past.
Thus taxes now is the only option left, so as not to borrow again or in the least minimally the next time round to help us tide over. The wealthy had made enormous gains during this current lifetime, through their manipulation of all kinds of markets for themselves under the policy of privatising profits but socializing debts.
It is payback time now - the gentle version with the recent resumption of slightly higher taxes for the $400,000 above tax bracket, and my appeal to the $250,000 tax bracket folks to share and help out in these tough times.
If the wealthy and their bootlickers continue to ignore the masses, hoard up their wealth but spend it on casinoes of vegas and wall st, as well as property speculations instead of creating manufacturing/service/trade jobs, then a severe payback time will come - push comes to shove by the massses. May that not happen, but only if the rich listens.....
