You cant count on the Supreme Court in this administration. Obama care ruling ring a bell?

Good point. So even if by a stroke of luck the supreme court does get a chance to make a ruling, they'll probably rule it constitutional.

hey, wait a minute....i live in california...for every $1.61 we pay in fedral taxes, we only get back $1.00. we're getting tired of supporting other states. give us our tax money back, and we'll be glad to cut you welfare-taking thieves off, and start our own country. put up your own money, and pay your own way. just so you know, i'm not too fond of her either.

You dont even know what state I live in but it happens to be just behind your socialist state. Keep your money, your govt is operating on credit anyway. California is literally a step away from bankruptcy.

Funny thing is the only reason the federal government "has the power to regulate" firearms is because of the interstate commerce clause.

Meaning weapons that are made and sold within a states borders are exempt from federal law. It is only when they pass borders do they get to step in.

If that does pass and it just very well may people said the awb would not pass so get ready.

The Montana firearm act

Remember that and remember this country has been long on ignorance and short on common sense since 2008.

Goody. Louisiana has Red Jacket firearms. At least we still get good AKs!

I think I'm going to start a consulting business myself. As long as I don't touch the receiver (as far as the ATF is concerned only the serialed receiver is the actual firearm, everything else is just parts) I could just travel from state to state and show people how to build guns.

I just hope Jindal has the sand to stand up to Washington on this issue. Somehow I doubt it.

Wrabbit? really?
LEFT/ RIGHT
Its all the same OWNERS moving their political pawns in the desired directions.....
The republicans cannot bring forth Gun Control or it would shatter the image we have of a two party system.....
Voila we have a democrat grab instead.....The election was certainly a sham......

In MOST cases these days I have come to agree that we have a two sided beast and not two parties to choose from. Indeed, it's all working in the same general direction and that isn't a good place to go.

However, among that herd of cats are a small % who do stand out as the very embodiment of the political ideology they publicly espouse and it really *IS* a personal mantra to them. Diane Feinstein is among that small % and there are some on both Right and Left who, even among THAT crowd, stand out as ideologues.

She was Mayor of San Francisco from 1978 to 1988 and has been in the Senate since 1992. 20 years in that spot to build power and seniority. Now she JUST won another SIX year term. It means, quite literally, she will wave goodbye to Obama no matter what happens...and still have 2 full years left on her own term in office. All that matters ...as well as the fact she is 79 years old. No one lives forever by sheer nature and I'd imagine she's looking at this 6 years as her personal crusade time with nothing left to hold back as well.

She's one to watch closely, IMO.

A bigger question that ALL AMERICANS whom honors the sacred Constitution should be asking is - WHO voted for her to Congress?

She would have been just an ordinary citizen, one amongst many without any single influence or power except to those who lies within her social circle. WIthout national influence, she, a SENILE old foggy who should have retired, would not be in position to even attempt to TEAR UP THE SACRED CONSTITUTION piecemeal.

Thus, for those who voted for her, lays that responsiblilty to ALL americans for voting in a TRAITOR and an incompetent fool into Congress. We humans are all flawed and make mistakes anyway. A mistake CLEARLY had been made.

Regardless if the legislative had been elected, it is the right within a democracy for the constituents and voters to correct her mistakes, or if she refuses - impeachment of an incompetent legislative is not a national crime or offense.

Remember that and remember this country has been long on ignorance and short on common sense since 2008.

I think we can go way back farther than 2008 Neo. Most of you who have seen my posts know that I hate both parties and I am a person who lives and breaths the Constitution that my founding fathers set our country up with.

My thread is not only a thread to show how this treasonist government is criminalizing American citizens who believe in our Constitution, but as a wakeup call for us to connect the dots that have gotten us to this point in our pathetic history.

Let's not just look at this as a gun control issue, but let's open our eyes to the bigger picture of the phoney fiscal cliff rhetoric. Really? How can us tax paying slave burden a debt, when it was made out of thin air in the first place? Slavery is the word that comes to mind......

The picture is pretty clear at least in my eyes. The United States of America has been highjacked by TPTB who want to enslave and murder us to acheive their New World Order. Just look at it. People are worried and scared over our soon to come economic disaster? Accident? Nope! Done on purpose! Now think about gun control for a second and the incident that kicked it off. Accident? I highly doubt it!

There will be gun owners who because of their fear of being labeled a criminal, or Homeland Security hunting them down, that will give up their weapons. However, I do believe with the documents that have been posted on ATS with DHS purchasing large amounts of ammo, that the gig is up. They are prepared to go to create total anarchy in this country. Do they not have their little holes all prepared to go and hide?

I am beginning to believe that, we will soon relive history, when the phrase, "The shot that was heard around the world." will be recycled and America will be at war on it's own soil.

Remember the saying, "Order out of chaos!". The problem is, how many people must die before order is created once again, and how many of those who are still alive, will be willing to sacrifice their lives to a life of slavery to these sadistic monsters who are creating this mess........

What you said makes perfect sense. However, when was the last time our law was used to prosecute anyone whom is a Federal official? It seems to me like they are above the law. I am sure we could fill the largest federal prison in our country with elected officials, but who will arrest them? Who will judge them? See the problem we have here?

It is not that difficult to start LEGAL impeachment proceedings against an elected official.

Feinstein had been elected and given power by the majority of her electorate, to represent the majority americans view and representations, NOT to sit in Congress to legislate her OWN pet causes or the causes of the loud but vocal minority.

The gun debate is not cut and dried as she and her bootlickers foolishly and incompetently thought it was. There is more than meets the eye, and only by resolving the ROOT issues can USA progresses.

If she persists in pursing her own agenda to undermine the sacred Constitution honored by ALL americans, then americans inside and outside of her state HAVE the right to petition their elected officials including the President, to impeach her, boot her out of office legally and elect a more capable person to serve out the duration of her term.

No elected official, whom had sworn to protect and serve the electorate, state and nation, would DARE IGNORE the Will of the People, more so over something as critical as the tearing up of the sacred Constitution by the lone gun Feinstein.

She and others like her whom thinks that with the power as an elected official, they can do as they please, push for insane bills that takes up critical time for more vital issues of nation. The Power of Impeachment will send a clear message to her and her kind, to behave more responsibly to the majority within the state as well as the Nation.

It begins from the family, relatives and friends, whom when combined, makes up the nation, to wake up the elected officials to do the right and necessary thing.

I'm for this, lets impeach her. Then after we've ousted her from office, we've opened up the floodgates for further impeachments on more of these corrupt politicians. Maybe if we put the fear getting impeached into these crooks, they'll start to straighten up and actually pass laws that benefit the people instead of the corporations. And if they don't straighten up then they get impeached. Too bad its not going to happen.

no idea of the authenticity of the or credibility of this source but here it is for what its worth blog.tenthamendmentcenter.com...

blog.jeffcitylaw.com...

www.shootingtomatoes.com... and this link seems to say that they would treat the grandfathered weapons in the same way we treat class 3 or other nfa class firearms.....the government is trying to tax the everliving crap out of gun owners.....think about it 200$ tax per every ak or Ar-15 type gun, then if they include the mags in the tax scheme they could be getting 200$ for every 10+ rounder....this isnt even about guns its about money and taxing the ever loving crap out of people who like guns because they know they cant repeal the 2nd so they tax the guns into oblivion

seems last time there was this much tension between the states we had our selves a civil war

As I read it, this would mean that any “assault weapon” would have to be registered as a class III NFA weapon with a $200 tax stamp, with perhaps the same applying to any magazine of 11 rounds or more. Talk about overreach. Maybe this is their response to the deficit? Ten million or firearms alone registered at $200 each pays for more universal health care. Never-mind if they require registering all those magazines. Question: Under her proposed law, when I die, am I unable to leave my listed weapon(s) to my kids? Would that fall under the ban on transfer of the weapon after the exempted owner is deceased? Seems to me that according to this proposal once you die, your firearms will be turned in for destruction. In one generation they will have a near complete gun ban. The registration would just be a bonus for them to make it easier for them to prevent guns from slipping through the cracks. They will give up some items in this proposal but they will not give up the transfer ban. That’s the key part of the anti’s long term strategy. The potential financial/employment impact of what would essentially be disarmament within a generation or so is huge. The gun haters say “screw those gun people, it’s their problem” but the reality is that it would put so many people out of work it’s frightening. Not only do you have the firearms companies themselves but also the accessories manufacturers, the tool/die folks who make mold, the machinists doing rough/finish work, casting foundries, back office/admin staff, IT staff, gun stores & their staff, etc. Another industry dead due to more government regulation. Get in touch with your representative and fight! The anti’s are not taking this sitting down and neither should we, something is going to happen, and it’s up to ourselves to make that something! FYI: Here are the phone numbers for the US Senate and House switchboards. CALL your Congressmen and CALL your Senators. Do not write a letter. Do not e-mail. Those methods of communication are too easily ignored. The numbers are 202-224-3121 for the Senate; 202-224-3121 for the House. CALL THEM and let them know just how strongly you oppose this. But–and I cannot stress this enough -- DO NOT BE ANGRY. Be polite. Be courteous. There’s no reason to be a jerk to whoever it is, especially if you want his help. Be firm, yes–make it very clear what you want him to do -- but don’t be rude.

Just an outsider's observation
This list of proposals looks like a 'wish list' to me and will be subject to a lot of bargaining but in the current political climate under the influence of public opinion be prepared for some of that list at least to be implemented. Many of the proposals don't look too draconian to me at least. Something needs to be done so that the leaders can be seen to have done something. Whether it actually makes a difference is something else altogether.

I have to be honest, when I read that, I thought it was BS, upon looking it up, I find that you are indeed CORRECT!!! I wasn't aware of that.

Let me put a few more on the list who have dual citizenships with Israel!

Joseph Lieberman
Carl Levin
Dianne Feinstein
Daniel Benjamen

Funny how someone with no hands on experience with firearms writes a bill on firearms. Not going to pass and I will never submit to these rules, if I were to do it the 'right' way and try to my register guns, get a background check, ect.. I would most likely get rejected because I have been arrested for a DUI and therefore an alcoholic in the eyes of big brother even though I rarely drink.

Try to take the guns away from the American citizens like myself and there will be a civil war.

she used to she might still but i couldnt find a source for it in the late 80's or early 90's she pulled some stunt and had her and a bunch of other guns melted down and sent to the pope after turning it into a cross but im pretty sure even if she does not have a ccw that her legion of body guards do

usliberals.about.com... she evidently does not carry a gun but i think she might own a few still

Actually, ole Senator Feinstein has an unrestricted concealed carry permit and is reported to carry a .357 revolver. She wants one set of rules for the elite and another for the rest of us. This was issued in a State that has some of the most stringent requirements for a permit. Last numbers I read indicate that only 1:1000 people in CA have a CCW permit.

The only thing worse than a liberal is a liberal hypocrite.

It is like we are living out the plot of Animal Farm and no one is catching on. They are not even trying to hide it anymore.

Some Animals are more equal than others it seems.
