Is the WoT a Jihad for Americans?

Could the "WoT" possibily be a Jihad for Americans? I'm not talking about the Muslim holy war, I am talking about the act of Americans attacking the Muslims. Bush is always using phrases such as "good vs. evil", always talking about spiratual beings. Could this be Bush's personal Jihad?

Or...

Is the "WoT" more like the German persercution of Jews in WW2 since war on terror picks specificly on Musliums. The Jews were responsible for all of German's problems and the Musliums are responsible for all our problems.

Anyone else have a view? (Sorry if this thread is confusing, I'm tired.)

Why should it be like either? Perhaps its more like the struggle to supress nazis after occupying Germany? Or more like the cold war, in that its not a large scale all out war?

Or perhaps its more like the war against the Pirates of the Barbary coast?

Also, while some idiot rednecks are certainly taking the wot to mean they can attack anyone who looks 'ferren' that hardly means that the government is acting that way.

The War on Terror is not holy by Americas claim. Few wars are truly holy but I won't get into that. This is a war of revenge and punishment and a war to defeat terror not to expell the infedels from the holy land. No. Not an American Jihad..........may seem like it but no.

I believe the "War On Terror" is more of a marketing slogan to justify criminal behaviour and crony capitalism as perpetrated by a corrupt administration.

The extent to which the American citizenry cares to remove this corruption will be determined shortly, as well as in the aftermath in bringing justice to the perpetrators.

None of the "pawns" in the criminal gang's activity - American servicemen and women, Iraqi civilians, or informed voters in general - are significant enough in the administration's plans to register on the radar screen. Deception and manipulation through fear and terror seem to be sufficient.

The "achievements" of this administration in the so-called war on terror are so many black marks in American history that it will take decades of revisionism to have honest citizens believing that all was good and squeaky clean. Such is life in a corrupt state.

NO WAY it is a counter offensive it was driven by the action of protection to prevent further attacks... Which by the way evidence turned up that the next was that wasnt going to be to long after the 9/11 attacks...
