Not sure...why don't you tell us why they are the same.....Sandy Hook was obviously first so start from there and why it was named Sandy Hook.

Imagine this:
There is a Sandy Cinema, which is located in Sandy Oregon. Now here is the strangest part. At the Sandy Cinema in Sandy Oregon a Movie is playing about some school kids that have guns, and they are killing people. I think it is called "Red Dawn".

The hurricane had to start with an "S" (alphabetical order)....other than that probably coincidental. Now if you can show some hidden diabolical meaning to the name "Sandy" then we can consider the possibilities.

I believe they named that hurricane Sandy, as insurance to be sure there batman plot went to plan.

What if someone spotted the Sandy Hook on the map sooner? we would be thinking something was to go down at a place called sandy hook.

So they came up with a solution to temporarily hide it from us if it was discovered before massacre took place.
