Titan False Color Image, from JPL.
Titan-B Flyby is happening shortly.
This is the 3rd Targeted event.
First was the tiny moon Phoebe, just as Cassini was entering the Saturn environment.
The Second, was Titan-A..
And now Titan-B..
The Details:
The second targeted flyby of Titan occurs on Monday, December 13, 2004 at 11:38 SCET
(03:38 am Pacific time). Cassinis closest approach to Saturns largest satellite is at an altitude
of 1200 km (746 miles) above the surface at a speed of 6.1 kilometers per second (14,000
mph). Titan has a diameter of 5150 km (3200 miles), so the spacecraft passes within 1.5
Titan radii.
Here also, is a link to a really nice PDF package, explaining the sequence of events.
