Dear friends, family, and unknown strangers of ATS, the end is near, December 21 is about to be upon us, the world will be destroyed and stuff, so I beg you all, for the sake of your own loved ones, let them open their presents early, if the end does indeed come let them know how much you love them by letting them open their new 40 inch plasma TV that’s 3D compatible, or their life-size Hanna Montana friendship robot, or their band spanking new Red Ryder BB gun, ( A Christmas Story reference), Apple I phones are nice, but contrary to popular belief there is no app that can compare to seeing a friend, child, or loved ones face light up and enjoying their gift before the world ends. I trust you will all do the right thing.

You don't need to tell us. We know what's going to happen, some of us expect us others deny it. There's a million threads on this did you really have to create a new thread to promote fear mongering?

No point in talking about what 'I' think is going to happen. It's two days away, so we'll just wait it out and see what happens but I do agree with the OP on one thing, make peace with yourself and party as if it was your last day. If you have anything that needs to be said, now is the time to say it.

ummmm prophetmark, i am glad you got the whole live like its your last day part of the post (although people should do that anyway)

But you may have missed the comedic section of the post, (ALL OF IT)

there is no fear mongering here. if it is really the last day people CAN NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. so come to terms with it and have fun, skip work, chill with friends. Because NOBODY in there last moments will say damn i wish i worked more, or i wish i did not hang with friends so much. (and if they did/do) maybe they will get another chance to try it again. the right way.

I fully agree. What's the point in freaking out and scaring your children? *If* something happens, why not go out loving and comforting your kids, instead of instilling in them that they should be scared?

Peanutman , are you suggesting that the dear children be pacified by material possessions that should see them through their darkest hours . i can almost hear the screams " but i wanted a 40" plasma not a 32"
