The extraordinary qualities with which Adam was blessed, physical and spiritual as well, aroused the envy of the angels. They attempted to consume him with fire, and he would have perished, had not the protecting hand of God rested upon him, and established peace between him and the heavenly host. In particular, Satan was jealous of the first man, and his evil thoughts finally led to his fall. After Adam had been endowed with a soul, God invited all the angels to come and pay him reverence and homage. Satan, the greatest of the angels in heaven, with twelve wings, instead of six like all the others, refused to pay heed to the behest of God, saying, "Thou didst create us angels from the splendor of the Shekinah, and now Thou dost command us to cast ourselves down before the creature which Thou didst fashion out of the dust of the ground!" God answered, "Yet this dust of the ground has more wisdom and understanding than thou." Satan demanded a trial of wit with Adam, and God assented thereto, saying: "I have created beasts, birds, and reptiles, I shall have them all come before thee and before Adam. If thou art able to give them names, I shall command Adam to show honor unto thee, and thou shalt rest next to the Shekinah of My glory. But if not, and Adam calls them by the names I have assigned to them, then thou wilt be subject to Adam, and he shall have a place in My garden, and cultivate it." Thus spake God, and He betook Himself to Paradise, Satan following Him. When Adam beheld God, he said to his wife, "O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker." Now Satan attempted to assign names to the animals. He failed with the first two that presented themselves, the ox and the cow. God led two others before him, the camel and the donkey, with the same result. Then God turned to Adam, and questioned him regarding the names of the same animals, framing His questions in such wise that the first letter of the first word was the same as the first letter of the name of the animal standing before him. Thus Adam divined the proper name, and Satan was forced to acknowledge the superiority of the first man. Nevertheless he broke out in wild outcries that reached the heavens, and he refused to do homage unto Adam as he had been bidden. The host of angels led by him did likewise, in spite of the urgent representations of Michael, who was the first to prostrate himself before Adam in order to show a good example to the other angels. Michael addressed Satan: "Give adoration to the image of God! But if thou doest it not, then the Lord God will break out in wrath against thee." Satan replied: "If He breaks out in wrath against me, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will be like the Most High!" At once God flung Satan and his host out of heaven, down to the earth, and from that moment dates the enmity between Satan and man.'

A Text Belonging to the Instructor
A text belonging to the Instructor, who is to enlighten and teach all the Sons of Light about the character and fate of humankind: all their spiritual varieties with accompanying signs, all their deeds generation by generation, and their visitation for afflictions together with eras of peace.
All that is now and ever shall be originates with the God of knowledge. Before things come to be, He has ordered all their designs, so that when they do come to exist—at their appointed times as ordained by His glorious plan—they fulfill their destiny, a destiny impossible to change. He controls the laws governing all things, and He provides for all their pursuits.
He created humankind to rule over the world, appointing for them two spirits in which to walk until the time ordained for His visitation. There are the spirits of truth and falsehood. Upright character and fate originate with the Habitation of Light; perverse, with the Fountain of Darkness. The authority of the Prince of Light extends to the governance of all righteous people; therefore, they walk in the paths of light. Correspondingly, the authority of the Angel of Darkness embraces the governance of all wicked people, so they walk in the paths of darkness.
The authority of the Angel of Darkness further extends to the corruption of all the righteous. All their sins, iniquities, shameful and rebellious deeds are at his prompting, a situation God in His mysteries allows to continue until His era dawns. Moreover, all the afflictions of the righteous, and every trial in its season, occur because of this Angel’s diabolic rule. All the spirits allied with him share but a single resolve: to cause the Sons of Light to stumble.
Yet the God of Israel (and the Angel of His Truth) assist all the Sons of Light. It is actually He who created the spirits of Light and darkness, making them cornerstone of every deed, their impulses and premise of every action. God’s love for on spirit lasts forever. He will be pleased with its actions for always. The counsel of the other, however, He abhors, hating its every impulse for all time.

You believe all this because you read it in a book? I'm sorry to jump in, but I really feel that ATS is a scientific community-and your kind refuses science just as we refuse your book-but we aren't trying to get on religious sites and talk about science-you are only creating another war (like all religions do). Yet our proof is in the pudding (literally). You would at least have more supporters in your case to develop better debates.
People here are going to tell you the truth: you believe in a story, and base your life around it because you can't handle the fact that you are no better a person than the animals around you.
Why did God allow Satan to deceive mankind into bowing to Him in the Garden? Why did we bow to the fallen Angles? Why are we still bowing?
The Jinn are ruled by the one true God who created them more than 25,000 years ago . The Jinn were created from the “searing desert wind” – called Simoon – and are subject to the same universal laws of Islam that mankind must adhere to; the Jinn are also sent prophets bearing God’s message . However, 25,000 years ago the Jinn began to disobey God because they believed themselves to be self-righteous. For that reason, God sent his Angels to destroy them.
It was during this battle that Iblis was recognized from amongst the Jinn by God as “a worthy pupil.” Iblis was brought to heaven by God where he was instructed by the Angels, and, in turn, as he matured Iblis began preaching to the Angels. But, when God created Adam, Iblis refused to pay homage; and, therefore, God condemned Iblis to hell; however, God also granted Iblis “a stay of execution” until the final day of judgement.

I guarantee it, "that every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess, that Jesus is Lord" whether people deny it now or not, mock it, argue about it, laugh or what ever. That time will come.

When God created man, he instructed his angels to bow before his new creation. Satan, being created from fire, was full of pride and refused to bow before something made from earth. It was for this act of rebellion that God expelled Satan from heaven. Satan said he will deceive humans and lead them astray. God replied saying He would fill hell with all those who follow satan.
So God did not allow Satan to deceive mankind. Satan threatened to deceive mankind and God declared what He would do to humans who follow him.
There is also a very interesting back story to all of this.

Satan was actually a djinn who was allowed to live with angels.... but his pride became his downfall.

Not a chance, any more than I would read the entire post.
Santa Claus, on the other hand, is a different story. I happen to know for a FACT that Santa uses small BIRDS to spy on people to see if they were naughty or nice the same way the NSA spies on these threads. The birds are like AUVs with a DIRECT line to Santa's HQ at the NP, and if you screw up, it's black coal for you, bucky!
Defy Santa at your peril.

Simple answer: No. If it turns out he was real, flesh and all, and I meet, him, I will shake his hand. That's all.
