The US is on the way out as a hegemonic power.
That is the primary conclusion of a new report out of the National Intelligence Council -- a government organization that produces mid-term and long-range thinking for the US intelligence community.
Titled Global Trends 2030: Alternative Worlds, this 140-page study says emphatically that the “relative decline” of the US is “inevitable,” but adds that its future role in the international system is “much harder to project,”

It seems that America is terminal.
China will surpass the US economically a few years before 2030, and regional players such as Colombia, India, Nigeria and Turkey will become increasingly important to the global economy.
The US role in this new world order is hard to predict because the degree to which it continues to dominate the international system could vary widely, the report says.
“The ‘unipolar’ moment is over and Pax Americana—the era of American ascendancy in international politics that began in 1945— is fast winding down,” the report says.
Despite that, the US most likely will remain “first among equals” in 2030, the report says.
The US will remain the only power “that can really orchestrate these coalitions, including non-state actors and state actors, to really manage, deal with these huge challenges and changes” the world faces, Burrows said.
While the report envisions the end of a unipolar world, and “the US can’t dictate,” Burrows said, “you can’t see any other power out there that can organize it.”
Asia will wield more global power than the US and Europe combined by 2030, a forecast from the US intelligence community has found.
Within two decades China will overtake the US as the world's largest economy, the report adds.
It also warns of slower growth and falling living standards in advanced nations with ageing populations.
Global Trends 2030, issued to coincide with Mr Obama's second term, says it aims to promote strategic thinking.
Published every four years, the report from the National Intelligence Council (NIC) aims to draw together a wide sweep of "megatrends" driving transformation in the world.
Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin condemns any people.

The moral collapse in America has brought God's judgment. So we are given evil presidents like Obama and the populace is easily brainwashed and swayed by appeals to their sin nature such as greed and envy (e.g. punish the wealthy, make them pay their 'fair' share). We see an increased number of natural disasters and an increase in lawlessness.
...
America could easily be restored to greatness if there was genuine repentance. Perhaps that will happen once the Chinese cauterize our urban liberal hell holes with nuclear fire. I prefer repentance first.

Interesting. So your angry, vengeful God and His natural disasters and other punishments (lake of fire &c) are OK, if not to be applauded, but China's 'nuclear fire' is a bad thing?
Or are you saying you'd happily accept your American cities being wiped out by China's 'nuclear fire' if it creates a moral climate that you prefer. I think if you're willing to see millions of people wiped out if it introduces your favoured moral climate, then your moral climate is primarily made up of clouds leaking crap and a warm front of arse-gas.

All judgment is unpleasant and not even God takes pleasure in punishing the wicked. Nevertheless no one gets away with anything ultimately in the end. I'm sorry if you can't accept what is now obvious. God judges nations.
As for the Chinese, I hate the fact that they are rapidly modernizing their military with gifts from our corrupt politicians, nor do I like the fact that their nukes are pointed at our cities.
Nevertheless the cycle of judgment repeats and no one bothers learning the lessons of history. So this civilization will go the way all other libertine hedonistic civilizations have gone, into destruction.
All of the sick perverted illuminati culture in music and the movies will be forgotten. The sexual immoral who continuously flaunt God's law, with an ever increasing appetite for more perversion will be as stubble. Their talents will be lost for all future generations and forgotten. Once the Chinese use neutron bomb that Clinton gave them they will occupy your cities and many will go into concentration camps. When that happens I hope no one will wonder why God allowed this.
If God didn't judge us he'd have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

Why did one of the most longlived empires on the face of the earth begin to crumble when they espoused christianity ?

Which makes you wonder why He was so willing to take on and destroy two small Iron Age towns, where the population would have totalled only 1000s, but is unwilling to take on a modern day Industrialised country of 300,000,000 not matter how much it wrecks the rest of the world, no matter how much pornography it churns out, no matter how much it exploits His church for their own gain? Think about it, how much 'sin' was tiny Sodom actually committing? Compared to America's pornography industry? Compared to the amount of homosexuals in San Francisco, LA, New York and so on?
Your SkyGod sure picks selective targets. Maybe your god is actually a little bit frightened of the USA? Maybe He knows the USA will push back when He starts to try and push them around?
