It's a very bright and sunny day here in Southern California. We just had several days of gloomy weather as that big storm that hit NorCal and San
Francisco passed through. Now that it is gone, summer is back. The poor deciduous trees thought it was time to finally drop their leaves and got sort
of stuck half way through the process.
Anyway so, I just went out to the market for some food, I was in the car and walking through the lot for a sum total of about 5 minutes.
I returned home, put things away and went to put some things in the bathroom.
When I looked at myself in the mirror, I realized that I am so sun burned that it looks like I have been outside working in the sun all morning.
WTF!?
I am really sensitive to that sort of thing because I spent practically all of my early adulthood working outdoors, so I know how dark I get and how
burned and how long it takes. And this is way out of line. I waited 1/2 an hour before posting to make sure it was not an effect of blood pressure or
whatever. Nope, I'm burned.
Burn to farmer's tan with tan lines in 40 minutes, 5 of which were spent exposed to the sun.
So, I know, I feel like a bit of a primitive squinting up, confused at the sun. But for what it's worth, there you have it.
Wear your sunscreen folks.
Anyone else in California experiencing this?
X.
