The hay damage (they called scooped) are just deer grazing on the bales.

Seeing that this is Alfalfa, well. Alfalfa is quite sensitive to agriculture chemicals. Wind drift is a problem when putting down Ag. chemicals.

Also, the applicator may have had a malfunction.

The cracks are simply just the soil drying out and cracking. I've seen this all my life.
