I was thinking, I want to become the best i can be in my life.

Success, Smart , Smooth.

I've come to a conclusion that perhaps if i brain wash myself using (Extreme) Brain washing methods that you would see only the military use then maybe i could become someone I've chosen to be.

Successful, Smart , Smooth.

Id be grateful if any ATS members would possibly input from what they know about brainwashing or methods i could go on about doing this.

Well, you can be whomever you want to be. Two things can hold you back - your own beliefs and your surrounding culture.

Believe it or not, all it takes is making a list of what you need to do to accomplish your goals. It also helps to think of your intentions and then align your actions with them. We have free will and can accomplish anything we wish, the thing is, stuff like religion or cultural limitations can give the illusion that there isn't any.

Have a positive attitude, if you are having trouble with that, think about what I'm saying a bit and see if it helps. You have to somehow change your beliefs about yourself, and then start acting the part, then you will become the part.

You might have to re-wire your belief system a bit, as well. Also, a good idea can be brought to life through work

This has been one of the most frightening threads I've seen on ATS.

Forget the arguments over whether we value what we don't work for, or whether you'll ever be truly satisfed with the "new you." Or even if some of those skills require experience and practice There is a lot of room for those discussions. Here's what worries me:

You're looking for "do it yourself" brainwashing? Seriously?

If you're even half-way considering having your mind played with, at least have a psych specialist work with you. Maybe hypnosis is a possibility. But, seriously, don't even think about doing anything on your own.

Looks a good film. If I had those answers I wouldn't be running a Printing Press. I'd be paying someone else to do it.

It's either...sad...or creepy, in that the OP is lying, and actually wants to brainwash someone else and is looking for tips...

Listen man, there's no pill for that...y'know?! It's work, however you go about it. Is this our 'fast food', instant gratification culture manifesting itself, or what?!

If anything, listen to self help tapes, I guess...Repeat this to yourself "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me!"
