Dio´s album cover art, specially Holy Diver, was the one, i wanted to start playing with graphics as well.

I love the story thats now on the top front page of ATS as I listen to story in that video I was intrigued by it and gave me this inspiration to reconstruct the possible scene that this army guy is talking about...

Well you guys are so helpful, and provide excellent links as well as instructions... so, first of all I would just like to say thanks for not only being incredibly talented and creative, but awesome enough to not behave like the "computer guy" from SNL, and give detailed step by step answers to those like myself that have no idea how to create my own avatar.

I went out on my own to find something, and then get it set up, because I am sort of stuck somewhere today and needed one of those things to do that you can REALLY get lost in, and that will take up like an hour of your time without noticing. Not sure what I did, but it just doesn't look exactly right. Hopefully, I wasn't going off of instructions for the old ATS version or something, and was hoping I could get some perspective from the experts.

OK, noob....

You got it close. All you need is to put the clear avatar in. Leave the big image in the background slot, the clear image in your avatar slot. Below is the clear avatar, between the lines (trust me...its there). right click and copy the file location, and then paste it into the spot for "avatar" in your account page.

Seriously.....it is one of the bigger pains to figure out on this site. It should be easier. Zarni begged for a great upgrade that would make it much easier. Maybe one day....*sigh*

If I were smarter, I would have asked a couple months earlier. It only dawned on me during the very last days of 5/3 beta testing.

Next opportunity for input, I will float it again.

Holy Crap, I'm almost there... I started over and uploaded the blank then set it as my Avatar... but I have a little repeat there and can't remember how to eliminate that... I know you guys put the instructions in though, boy that was a lot easier than I made it, fir sure... geesh!

Thank you, your instructions were very helpful.
I haven't changed Avatars in a while and was having trouble remembering how to go about it, your instructions were very helpful... everyone here is always so kind. I believe I've got it down to memory now, I was making it far more complicated than It actually is. ( the uploading and all that is) The creations made here, well that's just pure TALENT!

I feel so smart, I think I'll have me a mini-box of Nerds

Ok so as I promised I am going to ask for something that I think may be a bit difficult to do.

If possible I would like to keep my current avatar, but in the word "theorist" I would like it to say theorist and then erased like a pencil erasing the word theorist and then rewritten as realist.

Hmmmm, may the avatar gods watch over this

I only know like one or two individuals who could pull that off.

And they would likely have to get homeland security clearance to do that.
