I've only seen you post about new world order and ufo's.

It's not anything personal, just after dealing with other people who claimed they were something they weren't, I'm a little apprehensive. I'm not saying you are lying, I just don't want to go down the road I've already been down and taking precautions to ensure that doesn't happen.

I'm a PhD student in mathematical physics, so you can essentially infer what degrees I've earned up until this point and even from my avatar you can infer my research interests if you're familiar with the field.

I come here to discuss the conspiracies, not science. When I want to talk science, I go to physicsforums.

Well, technically that "idiot" you refer to is right...until you successfully solve a problem, guess what you are doing with that problem? Yep, FAILING at solving it! So yes, Albert failed at mathematics hundreds, possibly hundreds of thousands of times at mathematics...

The "idiot" is correct, you are not.

No dear, the idiot isn't correct....nor are you.

Then welcome.... just because a screen name says something, doesnt' mean it's true... that's the part that had me questioning

For example, I'm not really a cartoon purple chiten ...I know, I know, it's amazing that I'm not, but it's true

No worries, I'd be skeptical about myself if I was on this site with my name, especially with a thread last year started by a troll claiming to be a string theorist and proven to be false.

Too bad ATS doesn't allow for name-change, so I'm stuck with this.

So then, what is it called when you fail at something you are trying to solve?

I have proved you wrong with basics...all you have to counter is, "no you are wrong"...and you expect to be taken serioulsy about mathematics?

PROVE what I said is wrong, you can't.

Einstein meant exactly what he said, as he ALWAYS DID. He had many difficulties in mathematics, apparently you do not know as much as you portray yourself to know...as such, it is a waste of time to converse with the Ignorant.

Einstein may not have failed math, but a member here believes he may still have had shortcomings.

Edit to add.... you may need a couple of Red Bulls and some asprin.

Another little know fact, like most great men in history Einstein was a supporter of socialism.

"Why Socialism?"[1] is an article written by Albert Einstein in May 1949 which appeared in the first issue of the socialist journal Monthly Review. It discusses his belief that capitalism has failed to meet the human potential for creativity and concludes with Einstein's analysis on how to solve these problems, namely through a non-bureaucratic planned economy:...

Why Socialism?

That the morons who go around saying he failed at BASIC math crap just to pad their own egos since they are incapable of any coherent thought whatsoever and like to grab onto any straw they can pull out of their backside in order to try to make themselves feel better are still idiots and always will be.

He didn't fail at mathematics then become a "famous genius" like they want to believe and they won't become a "famous genius" either. They need to stop lying to themselves and try to do something productive with their lives instead of waiting for a radioactive spider to bite them or aliens to beam them up and infuse them with knowledge. They are too lazy to put any work into anything and want the world handed to them on a platter.

Is that clear enough for you? ...probably not .... it never is....

Although, I understand what you mean to say in your OP, I believe math is even broader than what you think it is.

True, high school math (calculus included) is nothing in grand scheme of math, but Arithmetic and Algebra are actually big parts of math.

Algebra is not only some elementary quadratic equations and inequalities. Abstract Algebra, for example, is one branch of it that studies rings, groups and fields. Usually a lower graduate level course. Example: Algebra (Graduate Texts in Mathematics)

Number Theory for example is a part of pure math that studies arithmetic in depth. Example: A Classical Introduction to Modern Number Theory (Graduate Texts in Mathematics)

Calculus itself is smaller, simplified/rigor-free part of bigger subject that's Analysis.

Then it's just odd that in your OP you equate some fundamental math branches to some high-school subjects that are not even introductory to the real thing.

Albert Einstein was the biggest fraud that ever existed. He was promoted because he was Jewish. The Zionists wanted a prominent scientist and they fully backed the fraud. Even Einstein admitted that his official public profile was ridiculous. This paper is very well researched and to the point. Zionism remains one of the great evils of our world and is essentially identical to Satanism.

You're not much of a people person, are ya?
You seem to take this REALLY personally..why? That's the real question I have.
Look at the language you're using towards people. 'Mornons...incapable of coherent thought..idiots'
You teach people? Why?

Look at what you wrote

"They need to stop lying to themselves and try to do something productive with their lives instead of waiting for a radioactive spider to bite them or aliens to beam them up and infuse them with knowledge. They are too lazy to put any work into anything and want the world handed to them on a platter"

Who the hell are you talking about? People who've used the (now debunked thanks to you) Einstein phrase?

And for the record, there is nothing wrong with failure, for it's the failure that refines us. And Einstein failed often.

You're speaking ironically, I hope. Seriously, math is great and all, because it lends credence to perception, but it very often over complicates things and brings havoc to the mind, body, and soul. I would say the great mental accomplishments are ones that bring forth peace and understanding. You know Jesus, Socrates, Gandhi, King Jr, Freud, etc.

Everything is subjective, even math. Math can tell you the height of a flag pole based on its shadow on a sunny day, but that flag pole really isn't even a flag pole, nor is that shadow even there. The flag pole is just energy. The shadow is a percieved absense of light. etc

One day, math may tell us that energy is not even there, but again, that is just a subjective understanding, given by its percievers.

Sorry if I came on too strong. I just don't like people praising mankind so much.

Here is my response to the black hole deniers, which requires no red bulls and no aspirin:

Sagittarius A*

Astronomers are confident that these observations of Sagittarius A* provide good empirical evidence that our own Milky Way galaxy has a supermassive black hole at its center, 26,000 light-years from the Solar System[5] because:

- The star S2 follows an elliptical orbit with a period of 15.2 years and a pericenter (closest distance) of 17 light hours (1.8×1013 m) from the center of the central object.[15]
- From the motion of star S2, the object's mass can be estimated as 4.1 million solar masses.[2] (The corresponding Schwarzschild radius is 0.08 AU; 17 times bigger than Sun.)
- The radius of the central object must be significantly less than 17 light hours, because otherwise, S2 would collide with it. In fact, recent observations[16] indicate that the radius is no more than 6.25 light-hours, about the diameter of Uranus' orbit, leading to density limit 8.55×10^36 kg / 1.288×10^39 m3 = 0.0066 kg/m3.
- The only widely hypothesized type of object which can contain 4.1 million solar masses in a volume that small is a black hole.

While, strictly speaking, there are other mass configurations that would explain the measured mass and size, such an arrangement would collapse into a single supermassive black hole on a timescale much shorter than the life of the Milky Way.[7]
And if a picture is worth a thousand words, how much is a moving picture worth? (here you can see the S02 orbit referenced above):

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/0864450afef4.gif[/atsimg]

I'd like to know how the man in that video, Crothers, explains these orbits without a black hole. Alternate explanations may exist but they have serious problems. And what's really ironic, is that Einstein wasn't too crazy about the idea of black holes either, so while Crothers goes to great lengths trying to debunk Einstein, you would think he'd be a little more sympathetic to Einstein not believing in black holes either:

Einstein and beyond

Einstein did not believe in black holes. But his ideas did suggest they exist. He should have trusted his ideas. It now looks like black holes are for real.

Talking of myths, you seem to subscribe to one yourself: that maths can describe life, the universe, and everything. You do realise that maths is just a language, don't you? And as such, like every other langauge, has its own domain of relevance but can say nothing about the things that lie beyond that. In fact, as langauges go, maths is extremely limited, since it lies at such an extreme end of the complementarity relationship which applies to langauges: the more syntax, the less semantics and vice versa. Maths is all rules of grammar and no meaning - you really think that something like that can encompass all of existence? You really think existence is so simple? It is a measure of the paucity of people's minds today that they have so elevated maths. Maths is the refuge of those who cannot use their own minds freely and therefore require to resort to a system of symbols and rules to use as a crutch. You'll be telling me next that computers can think!!!!!

I have to say I agree with your post. Many people, mostly those with strong math backgrounds, feel that math is the only language of the universe. They discount other methods of logic, theory and communication.

There is a very good reason why philosophy continues to thrive. It complements math by providing a complete perspective of the world we live in.

Talking of myths, you seem to subscribe to one yourself: that maths and philosophy can describe life, the universe, and everything!

Yes, philosophy has been so successful that modern philosophers have given up trying to answer questions and have taken refuge in the claim that the question is more important than the answer!!!??!!! There are other ways to know the world, ways that are a fundamental part of every human mind and even every animal mind, though admittedly the latter cannot take their understanding, or rather knowledge, of the world to anything like the kind of level humans can. But when you think about it, if we were not naturally endowed with the wherewithall to understand our world, we would be in dire straits indeed.
