Unless the charge exploded underneath the barrel or turret, I doubt it would rip the turret off.

hmm mabye at the joining of the turret and the tank, you know the small gap in between mabye the 30kg thrown there would rip it off?

If I was one of the people trying to destroy a Abram I wouldn't go for anything on top of the tank, for a more likely chance of destroying it, I would plant the exsplosive underneath the tank.,

hmm yeah but most tanks have armour under there for that kind of a thing, they say the best is from behind the tank.

I am not sure how to destroy a tank but I do know that Gas and matches are a bad combination for the human body.

That seems to be the most effective way. heres a previous thread on an M1 destroyed by a Palestinian anti-tank mine trap.

Found and posted that particular source(s) yet, mad scientist?
Was it here (had a good friend of mine looking for more information on this when he ran across the link given below and emailed me)...?
Proposed Urban Combat M1 Abrams

The link states that the picture was uploaded by an individual/online entity named Paul Lakowski, who happens to be a proclaimed "tankhead" or tank enthusiast. It is further claimed that the picture is of a modified model, having no real basis nor having any type affiliation with US military or government organization to substantiate that indeed this is a military considered project or modification. The link also mentions that Mr. Paul Lakowski is virtually a member of all known tank forums...

I think I remember that thread back on 'Tanknet'. Pictures from "Rock Gordon" were then later posted by the person you mentioned above.

It appears there are a number of such proposals kicking around for the Abrams . Who knows what will be actually funded in the end

THis package looks one of the most comprehensive Ive seen, but not sure about the value of this PDQ system?

Paul Lakowski's all over the internet, he's a real tank genius. I think he's doing the armor estimations for Steel Beasts 2 as well.
